SOL 1/48 SU-33 Conversion set for Academy

I'm hoping someone can help me out and give me some pointers. I recently came across the SOL Su-33 conversion set. I have plenty of experience in using conversion sets and doing surgery on kits but what I am not experienced in is making canopies. The sol set comes with a clear plastic sheet and the mold for the wind screen/ front canopy piece. What is the best way to heat the clear piece and mold it? I have read a bunch of articles online but am thinking maybe someone has used this set and has some sound advice for me. Thanks for any help.
