The other is the Consolidated turret. Late B-24's could have either.

Which British version did you want to do, the Mk II or III?
WIP: Monogram 1/72 B-26 (Snaptite) as 73rd BS B-26, 40-1408, torpedo bomber attempt on Ryujo
Monogram 1/72 B-26 (Snaptite) as 22nd BG B-26, 7-Mile Drome, New Guinea
Minicraft 1/72 B-24D as LB-30, AL-613, "Tough Boy", 28th Composite Group
A Mk II will entail the use of one Boulton-Paul turret (top just behind the wing), single waist .50's, and twin .50's mounted on an open hula-hoop ring mount for the tail. Major surgery will have to be done for the engine cowlings as PBY type round cowlings were used with toothpick Curtiss Electric propellers having the long prop domes. A USAAF LB-30 could be constructed with a Martin turret mounted amidships with twin .50's, and twin .50's mounted on an open post mount. A Mk III used the Boulton-Paul tail turret with also using the Martin turret on top in the same location as a D model. The engine cowlings are the same elliptical ones as the B-24C/D. A Mk IIIA used the American turrets as a regular C/D model.
"Toothpick" props are narrow, skinny props used by original B-24's until later blocks were equipped with wide paddleblade props. Lib II's used Curtiss-Electric toothpick props. B-24C-M's used Hamilton-Standard props. P-38's used narrow 3-bladed C-E props but used a spinner so you couldn't see the prop domes. Certain blocks of bubbletop P-47's used Curtiss Electrics so you could use those prop domes. Combine the two. Check to see if the length of the P-38 props match the length of the Lib II props.

Google for pic's of Lib II's and LB-30's. Not every RAF Lib II had 2 B-P turrets, as some had only one or none. Or you could do a US LB-30 in an RAF paint scheme such as AL-613 in the Aleutians.
Also google for Boulton Paul Type A turret, that is what was used on the Liberator II.
The B-24A/Lib I, and LB-30/Lib II did not have superchargers in the nacelles. The nacelles are round, not elliptical like on the B-24C-M. You have to redo all of it using the PBY cowlings. You might make it easier using the PBY nacelles from the PBY kits or roll your own from this Flickr link. It is 1/72, but the principles are the same.

You can use the B-24A/Lib I "Diamond Lil/Ole 927" as a guide as it has PBY-5A cowlings that that were put on in 1945 by Consolidated. And remember that the the Mono D kit is wrong as it has the nose gear doors opening outward when they should be opening up and inward. For books, go online as that is what I do here in Fairbanks as there is no real hobby store anymore except in Anchorage.
