Well;

   You asked for it so here goes . I like your rendition of the B.A.B. ! Like you , In my case if it isn't 1/96 scale , I brush it . I have not had much luck with Tamiya acrylics . I think I will revisit them after reading your comments . Again a nice rendition of the B.A.B. !

I am partial to any shade of grey . Navy time perhaps ?

Thank you for the kind words Gentlemen! I get a lot of questions about brushing Tamiya Acrylics on Facebook. I wrote this little summary of how I do it for anyone who may be interested:

First you must make sure the paint is thoroughly mixed. Often times it needs to be mixed with a stick to get the sediment off the bottom, then put the lid back on and thoroughly shake until it is completely mixed. Then use a soft camel hair brush that is as wide as possible for the surface you are painting. Then apply light coats in long even strokes going the length of the model. This way if there are any streaks it looks like weathering. If there are seams from ailerons or elevators paint the seam before doing the main coat. NOTE: THE FIRST COAT WILL LOOK LIKE CRAP! As it acts as a primer coat. The second coat however, will look AWESOME, with the exception of yellow and white which normally requires 3-4 coats and silver 3-6 to get them to look smooth and even. Then to finish up, 2-3coats of rattle can dullcote, then decals and then final 2-3 more coats of dullcote. DONT FORGET TO MASK THE CLEAR PARTS BEFORE DULLCOTING! For the framing on clear parts, I apply 2-3 coats of paint making sure to completely cover the frame and even slop over. Then I use a sharpened brush handle to scape the excess paint off neatly along the edges. I hope this makes sense, let me know if you have any questions

Brushed with Tamiya?  Well done.  Nice job on a nice kit. Love the Atlantic scheme.  I'll be starting the Tamiya 1/32 F4U-1a soon and was hoping to do an Atlantic scheme but it will have to be a WIF if I do since, sadly, it doesn't exists.  I like what you've done.

Time to break out the brushes and start painting the exterior. It will be finished with brushed on Tamiya Acrylics and sealed with Testors Dullcote from a rattle can.

Here is my latest project, the 1/48 Accurate Miniature SB2C-4 Helldiver. I am building it OOB and will finish it in the grey over white Atlantic scheme like shown on the box.
