1/144 and 1/700 are my favorite scales  i have about 150 or so kits in 1/144 make my own pilots in resen and do a lot of them a year. i have tons of kits in all scales but have the most fun with the small stuff. Just wish there was more afermarket stuff in 1/144 like PE cockpits ... Cheers

They look awesome ! 1/144 is waay too small for me, heck 1/72 is too small unless its the only scale the subject is available in. Great work!

Those are great looking builds. I've looked at that scale at the store, but 1/72 is about the smallest I can go and still see anything, and that's with my optivisor.

Great job.  Yes

I would love to see what you could do in a larger scale. Say something giant for you like 1/72.

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Can't imagine tackling a 1/144th, but you seem to have done a very nice job on those.

Didn't even know PE sets were available in that scale. My comment would be "yikes!". :)

I got way to many 1/32 kits also ..... don't ask me why on earth I thought it was a good idea to buy a 1/32 UHU He-219 and a Ju88 from Revell ..... not to mention the 1/144 Space Shuttle with launch-pad ... or the 1/72 German Sub .... since I do not have any space at all for them.

I guess some of the nice things with 1/144 is that you can't get too bogged down in details and might have to focus on painting etc. instead. At least it is a nice change compared to the bigger onces.

Eduard Spitfire Mk.IXc och JU87B (1/144)

I've been away from the hobby for almost 30 years and even though I've started builds over the last few months so far I've not finished anything yet. However over the New years weekend we traveled to our house on Gotland (island outside of Sweden) where I do not have a compressor set up yet and thus I decided it was a good time to build a few of my small 1/144 models in the stash where I could brush-paint. Said and done the Spitfire Mk.IXc och JU87B kits from Eduard was packed together with paint and other stuff.

These kits both come with 2 planes each so you can build 2 versions. I only built one Spitfire since I did not have enough black color for the victory stripes I wanted to paint on the other version.

You do not get a lot on the sprues but the quality is excellent with nice panel lines and virtoually no flash or ejectormarks.

For some reason I went and bought myself pe-sets for the Spitfires. I forgot how tiny pe is in 1/144 scale. Not to mention that many of the items would not even be seen.

The Ju87B-kit is based on an older kit which is obvious since it doesn't even have a cockpit. You do get photo-etch included though.

It was quite fun to build these although I did have some real foul language several times when trying to get the photo-etch correct.

The end-result is far from the works of many of you guys here since I'm still brushing up on my techniques (heck, most of them wasn't around when I quit in the mid-80's) but I had real fun with the models and I do like how they turned out anyway. More importantly I also learned from my mistaces so I hopefully won't do them again.

For anyone having a lack of space I can recommend Eduard's 1/144-kits because you can do good builds with them. I have 2 Ju52 from them too as well as a dual-MIG15 kit that I am building now (if I can find one peice that fell to the floor, otherwise it will be just one Mig15).
