years ago I tackled the HE-111 and JU-88 and it was 1/64th which was as big as one could get.

I had to do a lot of work but I loved the simplicity and they looked pretty good once I finished.

NOW my son is in the hobby and to get him started I had him build the remaining HE-111's and JU-88's as well as a 1/72nd HE-100 . It helped him get the confidence he needed to get going and I got them for just a couple $'s so no heart attacks if he messed up

The Lindburg 1/32 scale armoured car I made as a kid came with 1/48 scale figures.  The care was a behemoth beside them!

I build 1/48 scale WW2 fighters.

Have fun.

Looks like it has an 11" wingspan. The Ju-88 was 59', so a 708" wingspan. That makes it basically 1:64 scale.

I think that it is actually an old "box scale" kit that was designed to fit a particular size box. Something in between 1/72 and 1/48, like 1/60 or something on that order... If you can get the kit's wingspan, it is not too hard to do the math and figure out the exact scale.

Lindberg JU 88: 1/48 or 1/72?

Hello!

The Lindberg JU 88 model kit is generally presented as 1/72 scale; however, the kit includes a standing figure/mechanic which is the same figure that is included in the Lindberg British SE.5 model kit which is always presented as 1/48 scale (see images of box covers below).

Has anyone confirmed whether the JU 88 model kit is actually 1/72 or 1/48 scale?
