Exhaust systems
Posted by BlackTulip109 on Sunday, January 25, 2015 4:10 PM

Anyone purchase the Micro-Mark exhaust systems?

Any comments. I was reading reviews of similar systems and most complained about the plastic cracking, and system failures.

I just may get a nice sized box and bathroom exhaust fan, tubing and filter and set up my own?

Let me know what you think

I have the similar product that I purchased from E-bay and it works just fine.  I've not experienced any cracking plastic or failure of the systems as of yet.  The only thing that I've found is that rattle-cans produce more overspray and fumes than the machine can remove rapidly.  I've not had any problems using enamels and lacquers from my airbursh.

I have two of those systems hooked side by side with the ducting. I have no issues with it other that it takes up too much space on the ducting. So, i went to Lowe's and got a 4 inch "Y" and some 4 inch flexible ducting and couple of 90 deg elbows. I combined the two in to one at the back of the booth and ran one duct outside using one flat end under my garage door. Now, everything is out of the way and doesn't take up all that room. You could easily build you own booth on the cheap from a hardware store.
