Was just sent a link and watched the video. Most decorated mission of the war. [http://voxvocispublicus.homestead.com/morrow.html] Put it up in case someone might want to do the bird after watching it.

Would be an interesting build as they but an extra gun in the nose, a fixed 50 just under the center of the windscreen for the pilots to use, and went to twin 50's in the waist positions, total of 19, IIRC

Thanks for sharing Goldhammer.  I've actually got this exact build in mind that I've shelved for the last two and half years while waiting for my skills to improve.  I plan on wrecking the hell out of it.  I've already bought some AM stuff for it and now that Eduard has some Brassin .50s I plan on picking up a few of those as well.  I hope to start it this summer.  =]

Hey bvallot,

If you wait till June, I've got a Boeing Build starting then. That would make an awesome entry.

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

That would be an awesome build.  The video computer generated looks to be an "F" nose on her, but a fixed 50 in the center of the w/shield and twins in the waist would look great.  She was getting scrapped for parts because every time she went up she got shot to pieces.  The crew pulled her out and modified and glued her back together.  Got jumped by 17 Zeros and had a running dogfight for 45 minutes, and all alone

There were two CMH's for that mission, one to the pilot and one to the bombedeir for crawling back to his gun when mortally wounded and bleeding to death.

Modelcrazy: That sounds perfect! =]  Count me in.  I saw your Mustang GB badge as well.  I might have to jump in that one as well.

Goldhammer:  I've seen this video once a while back.  I've got a site that had a write up on it as well that was more in depth.  I'll see if I can find it.  But it does pretty much sum up what you stated above.  There's a guy who makes conversion parts for the glass pieces to these bombers and other aircraft.  William Koster is his name.  Since I'm converting an F to an E, I'll likely be giving this guy a look see too.  But yeah... 19 .50s....come get some!  =]  Down, but not out...I knew I just had to build her.
