Been doing my own "great build" this winter. Started with the 1/24 early G-6 from Trumpeter. If ever a kit could cause me to hate modeling, that was it. Brittle plastic, beautiful finely scribed details that disapeared under one wipe with sandpaper, decals that would shatter and would silver even if you had a super gloss finish on it and used a ton of microset. Hated it, so I did a Edwards BF109E3, which is pictured here. Nice kit. Cant put engine detail in and still have the cowl in place so I left it out. In the pics the cowl is just sittin in place, I left it loose to let me place the guns and exhaust in place after painting. Gluing it would make it sit snugger. This one brought back the modeling joy. Now I'm working on a 109 K4 in 1/48. There is a little whip antenna on the bottom of the fueslage, can anyone point out where it goes? Not included in the kit and finding real K-4 pics is not easy. So, if anyone can lead me to where it goes with a pic, thanks!.
