Anyone built the Tamiya 1/48 F-51d Mustang kit with the supplied decals ??
I have read a review stating that they are unusably bad.
Would be nice to know before I start with them.

Theuns-I used the kit decals a couple of years ago with Solvaset-no problems

I think some reviewers are overly snooty about decals. I have never had a problem with any Tamiya decals myself over all the years. They may not be the best out there, but they are not the worst either.

I totally agree with you, In this case he showed pix of the decals that broke up in the water, even the replacement ones from Tam did the same.....maybe a dud batch.
I have relatively good results with Tam decals.
