F-4 phantom. Fellow modelers, I am finding myself getting bored. I bought a 1972 1/32 phantom 2, ordered lots of PE for this kit, PE that wasn't made for this kit. With lots of modification, the kit is coming together. Lots of flash, lots of sanding, putty, putty, putty. But its been fun to tackle this. special ordered skull and crossbones decals for this kit. I bought this kit dirt cheap at eb.

Old School!  I love old school!  Definitely pics are needed here!

Which kit is it?  I may have it in my stash.  I only have 3 1/32 Phantoms!  Embarrassed

Hey, for real old school, try one of the wooden "solid models" that were mfgd before plastic :-)

There are still old ones floating around online or at flea markets.  And a couple of companies manufacture new ones of this type for people wanting to try old school building.  Required a lot of carving, and lots of sanding, filling, sanding, repeat.

I have that one.

Revell F-4E Phantom II (#4784)

Revell F-4J Phantom II (#4706)

Revell RF-4B Marine (#4768)

They are big ones for sure!  Might have to do one of them this year!
