Hello gentlemen!     Is there any photo-etch or resin available for the Revells 1/48 PT-17 yet?

Which begs the question...Did any manufacturer name their plane a "Flamingo"? Or was there a class of plane deserving of that name? Hey! It's Friday the 13th!

Nice photo, thanks for the laugh. Two questions:

1. How many flight hours in the flamingo's log book?

2. Aren't all Cub's supposed to be yellow?

Don't know of any aftermarket bits, would like to find out.

Does anyone make a small resin pink flamingo?

THAT would be neat!

I build 1/48 scale WW2 fighters.

Have fun.

BTW, back to PT-17.  Molding is so nice that little resin or PE needed.  Engine is particularly nice, only need aftermarket engine if you want to build it with a Pratt Whitney.  Only thing that would have been nice would have been a PE pitot tube for left interplane strut.  The kit provides no pitot tube. I bent one up out of wire.

I agree with Don. The kit details are fantastic and I really don't see a need for pe.

You all are a trip!  I'm glad you liked the pictureStick out tongueBig Smile

But yes; I have two of the kits and the detail is fantastic!  I just like fiddling with PE. I find it calming -- unless I'm getting frustratedHmm  LOL

A resin Jacobs and P&R would be nice!   But the continental is my favorite, so it's good with me
