Can I ask where I can find more drawings like that of the P-38 wingtip, or what/where to search (i.e., is this from an Erection & Maintenance manual)?  Often, when I'm building an airplane model, I have no idea what exactly I'm looking at in the styrene mold.  It would be really helpful to be able to refer to some drawings from the period (WW2) to help identify what that slot is, or that bump, or that panel so I'd know how it should be painted.

Thanks!

I have a few pics of the P38 in a collection out here that is painted up as "Tangerine" from the ETO.

If you want anything I have on her, PM me your email and will send them out to you.

Green starboard , red port. Both located on the top of the wing-tip.

Hi, I'm looking to build a 1:48 P-38 and load it up with super cool electronics (lights and motors) for my father's birthday in September. He loved the P-38 and I attempted to do this last year but the 1:72 model is way to small to do any of the electronics internally. Anyways, does anyone have a diagram of where the navigation lights are on the plane?
