What Reputable US Dealer to Buy Eduard Photoetch from?
Posted by SubarooMike on Thursday, March 26, 2015 9:21 PM

Hello modelers!   100% of the time I buy my Eduard photo etch off of eBay; however, the sets I am looking at are not on eEbay. So my question is: what is a reputable US dealer that I can purchase Eduard from?   Thank you for your time!Big Smile

Squadron or Sprue Brothers

WIP:  Monogram 1/72 B-26 (Snaptite) as 73rd BS B-26, 40-1408, torpedo bomber attempt on Ryujo

Monogram 1/72 B-26 (Snaptite) as 22nd BG B-26, 7-Mile Drome, New Guinea

Minicraft 1/72 B-24D as LB-30, AL-613, "Tough Boy", 28th Composite Group

Mate....I buy straight from the Eduard website.  Never fails.  Usually takes about a week and I have the bits in my mailbox.

Not bad at all, by my way of thinking.

Cheers, LeeTree

Another vote for SprueBros. Best stock around and fast service.

I buy either from Squadron or SprueBros.  Both have good service in my experience.

Ditto. I get mine from Sprue Bros, sometimes Squadron. I did order from Eduard once, worked fine.

All 3 work well, I've also had luck with Pacific Front on some of the harder to find ones.  Have not had a bad experience with any of them.

Sprue Brothers all the way.  Has anyone else noticed that Squadron never seems to have anything you need in stock anymore?  They used to have a much better selection too...

Same here Joe. I run a search for a particular aircraft on their site, choose sort by in stock, and there is literally only 3 or 4 items left.

Look in scalehobbyist.com. You may find them cheaper than Squadron or Sprue Borthers

WOOAH -- the photo etch set I want (among a few I am looking for) is for Tams 109.  $22.  I'm not used to MSRPish prices.  I'm used to getting great deals on eBay LOL

Edit: that's from SprueBros.  Not complain about their prices (which seem to be good) just not used to non eBay prices

It also depends on which set.......I usually go for the cockpit only versions which tend to be cheaper.

That's what it was.  I think. I'll have to go back and check.

EDIT: Bloody hell, I found just the cockpit set.  Only $7!  I can swing that. Thats what I get for going by the picture only. Sad   Thank you for the heads up lawdog!

I thought it was just me, or the specific stuff I happened to be looking for. So yes, I have noticed.
