The ol' hot water trick does work pretty good. I explained it for a friend of mine a couple of years back now here:
On the boiling water trick. Heat the water until it starts to form bubbles at the bottom of the pot just before it starts to boil then take it off of the heat source. Dip the part in for just a second or two and pull it back out. Attempt to bend back into the normal or acceptable shape. If it doesn't want to bend stick it back in for 3 seconds and keep stepping it up a second at a time if the part fails to bend. I didn't have to go past 5 seconds for mine. Alot of folks are scared of doing this but it's really not bad if you just keep track of your time in the water. Hope this helps you out.
