Another model that was started some time ago and then was back to the box. I want to see now if I can finish it.
Had glued all engine parts.

Then, the interiors.
The detail that's molded into that engine is fantastic!!!!! That interior looks the part as well!! Looking forward to the progress on this one ajcmac!!

That is indeed a fine kit! Just be careful with the removable engine panels. They are very thin and must be handled carefully. I warped my top panel by having it too close to an overhead display light in my case. Duh. So it is now displayed without the panels.
Gimme a pigfoot, and a bottle of beer...
I have the same kit in the stach.....still safely in the plastic! Will be watching carefully :)

Wow, that engine screams to be displayed open. Looks fantastic. Looking forward to the rest of this one.

Thank you all .
And finally finished the firewall and the oil tank.
How not like natural metal painted models could get a sheet of decals.
Build the interiors for the P-51 D-10-NA so the version I want to do the «Ol Joe Flak ».
To ajcmac,
I just purchased the exact same kit. Yours looks so exciting and fantastic, great job. I can't wait to see your completed model. As soon as my P-51 arrives I'll be following you right behind.

Awesome! I'm so excited for you.
Very cool!
Looking good so far there ajmac. I had started this D/K kit (basically the same kit with the K props and pacific theater markings) and I must say that your build is looking great. I have mine on hold until i finish some smaller kits, since I want ot finish it in Bare metal using Alclad paints. (never used them before). Will be watching closely.

And once you have placed the pictures of what he had done, plus a small advance.
I glued and painted propeller.
Now the weathering.
Nice start ajcmac. I have one in the stash I'm afraid to build (intimidation issues)....

YOU have intimidation issues?!
That Mustang is coming along nicely!
HA! Yeah really. =D
Looking very good. This model is supposed to have exceptional parts fit as with most Tamiyas.
Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!
Everything you've done up to this point is amazing! Keep up the great work.

Toshi and Panzerpilot
Finally, the central set completed.
Now the side panels.
This is very nice work. I am blown away by the amount of detail on the engine. I am doing a 1/24 Bandai version for the Group Build, and will definitely be referencing your great work here.

More advances in interiors. Lack the side panels now.

Bish That's looking very nice. I do like the look of the pit side walls and that engine.
Thanks Bish .
Sorry. I forgot to put the images of the cockpit ready.
To see how everything is.
I really do like the shading in the pit. I thought you might have used lawdog's method, but on looking back through I can see you have painted the green first. So how have you got that shading.
I'm enjoying watching this come together. Beautiful control with your painting. =]
Excellent! I'm digging the weathering. How did you do that spinner stripe? Is that a decal or did you paint that. Keep up the good work.
..........and yes, intimidation issues
