So well done and gorgeously detailed. I love to see a good kit done with an expert hand like yours.

BlackTulip109

What are the paints colours you used for the top and bottom of the aircraft.

I am building a 1/48 Kingfisher with my son and would like to use those colours!!

Thanks

The colors were picked from Vallejo's US Navy Model Air set.  The lighter blue is Intermediate Blue. The top darker shade is a mixture of 3 seperate parts. 1 Insignia Blue,  1 Pru Blue and 1 Light Gull gray to dull it out a bit. Bottom is Insignia White.

Good luck!

She is complete. What a kit! Very few issues, mostly just do to the age of the kit. I am very pleased with this build. I hope you all enjoy!  Thank you all for the feedback!

I'll throw my hat in the ring! That is awesome and about as close to realism as I've ever seen from a Dauntless build. Just beautiful man!

Thanks for the colors.

Ironically I just bought my first Vallejo Paint set and it happened to be the one you mentioned!!!

I have a hugh number of Humbrol and Precision enamel paints BUT since discovering Vallejo and their incredible quality I would rather use the acryllic paints !!

I heard the Hataka are awesome too.

I would like to get their Italian Regia Aeronautica, Luftwaffe North Afrika colors!!

I know this article is several years old but I got a kit, all parts sealed but no instructions. Do you still have yours that you could scan to help me. Respectfully, Gloria Wells
