Gteetings! Indeed, the only 1/48 kit is the OOP Matchbox kit. It has quite a lot of flaws but the fuselage is pretty good. The canopy windshield is wrong. Look for this kit being auctioned on E-Bay. I've seen them sell for as much as $70.00, which is the height of stupidity. Tamiya makes a transparent blue paint, in both spray and bottle, if the Future idea doesn't appeal to you.

Hi - The only A-1E in 48th is the old Matchbox kit. It may have been reissued by Revell/Germany, but I'm not sure about that.

For the tint, add a little blue food coloring to a bit of Future and spray it inside the canopy for that factory tint look. Works really well.-Ed
