aaawwww very cute!

Thank you iampiper13.  When my grandson Ezra was first born I wasn't allowed to hold him via my doctors orders as I did not have the strength and balance at that time.  So I worked out in the exsercise room facilities here in our complex To get stronger and work out to also fix my equilibrium.  I got stronger and better during these work out sessions. Six months later, I got stronger and my equalibruim got much better in that I got to carry him per my doctors orders.

Here in Streetsboro, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, during this time of year, we can expect temps in the lower thirties and the twenties.  We even could be having temps in the teens and single digit numbers.  I recall subzero temps one year in that it was such a cold winter that it snowed on Easter Day.  My children at that time many years ago were hunting for Easter eggs in the snow!

For the last week and this weekend, we've been experiencing temps in the upper sixties and lower seventies!   WOW!!!!!!!  With these temps, I've been taking my grandson in a stroller around the complex where I live.  The photos you see above were taken at a park in the complex where we live.  iampiper13, thank you again for your kind comments of my grandson.  He is the love of my and Mrs. Toshi's lives.

Beautiful grandchild Toshi! Grandkids are very special indeed. Many times my little granddaughter took me hostage to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, the rest can wait.

To PlasticJunkie,

Thank you so much for your very kind comments of my grandson.  Yes I agree with you; "they are very special" indeed.  Mrs. Toshi and I baby sit him five days a week, now that he's in Columbus, Ohio, I already miss him.  LOL!  Watching the Mickey Mouse club with your granddaughter was a moment in time in your life that you'll never forget.  You're a great grandfather.  You're final comment in that "the rest can wait", is a fantastic analogy.

Thank you PlasticJunkie for following and helping me fix my machine guns on this build.  I so greatly appreciate this.  You're the MAN!!!

To my fellow forum members,

I've come across a very weird and terrible set back on this P-38 build.  The decals are damaged.  For some strange reason after I soak the decals in water, they refuse to slide off and or they disintegrate immediately.

With this situation, my build is on the holding pattern.  I still can work on the ordinance of which I will continue to post but once that's done I'll be waiting on some AM decal sets to come in of which I ordered from eBay.  Until then, thank you for your dedicated following of this P-38 Lightning build.

 To my fellow forum members,

I finally feel better, at least enough to post my most recent addition to the P-38.  I'm not 100% yet and when Mrs. Toshi caught me building this kit today, I got scoldings so I stopped for now.  I'll be able to do some more tonight as Mrs. Toshi finally conceded to my building of kits with the remark she made of which is; "Only for a half hour at a time"!  LOL!

Until then Mrs. Toshi and I plus our grandson and grandsons mom and dad, will be going to Chinatown to eat some Dim Sum.  This will be my first outing in two weeks!

Looking great!  Just remember the props rotated outboard making both engines "critical" during single engine operations.  The orginal plan of counter rotating inboard caused buffetting over the horizontal stabilizer and elevator.

Thank you sir!  I did not know about the information you just posted to me in regards of the props that rotates outboard.  I will ensure that I install the props accordingly.  Thank you sir for taking the time out to post this information and visiting my P-38 thread.

I will, and thank you for your concern and well wishes.  The walking pneumonia really took a toll on me.  I can only do about a half hour of bench time and that just wipes me out.  I get fatigued.

But I definately know I still need to get bed rest and to not do things.  Thank you again for your concern and I'll be posting a little bit of something every so many days.

Yes, I had walking pneumonia.  It took about a month to get rid of this and I'm still not 100%.  I want to thank you uncle Jay Jay for the get well wishes, I greatly appreciate it.  I'll be doing some bench time for a half hour a day per Mrs. Toshi's request.  LOL!  Thanks for the visit!

I caught a cold just before the weekend lol. I spent a couple of hours on my P-40 Saturday, but all I did was make more work for myself. (Bad masking)

I'll have to post some pictures later I suppose. Its not exactly my best day of painting.

I hope you're feeling better!  Eh!  We all have good days and bad days.  Sometimes it's good to step back for a couple of days to rest the mind.  Right now I'm going into a deep depression, fatigue, the weather (No sun), and with my current injuries and walking pneumonia, this is testing my patience drastically.  Hence I figured to get back at the bench I hope it helps a little.

Knowing you have a plan and I'm most eager to follow this build you speak of.  Thank you for your concern, read and replies!

Here is is my next project in regards to the decals.  For those of you following this build, the original decals would not come off, those that did which of only were a few decals desintergrated.

So my fix were these AM decals.  Has anyone used these before?  Please let me know ASAP.  I'd like to know, that's all.  Until then, I'll be working on the prop hub and some misc. clear parts and items.  Thank you my brothers and sisters!

Gee, I'd spend a nice day out with the grandkids too but good to see you back at the bench after your illness!

I used a set of the Kits World decals a couple months ago and had no issues with them. They were tiny 1/72nd decals though, hope these big ones don't give you any problems.

Thank you Bish, it's really good to be back!  I'm still not 100% yet but I can put in about a half hour of bench time a day before I get fatigue.  That's great to know that I'll have no issues with the AM decals per reviews you've read.  I also have read these reviews as well.  Thank you for supporting me!

Yes, we had weird weather in that it was 70 degrees one day so I took my grandson for a walk.  The very next day the temps dropped to 35 degrees with 3" of snow.  Incredibly crazy.  But that's Ohio for you!  LOL!

That's good to know that these decals work.  I'll be decaling the P-38 this evening.  Gamera, thank you so much for your help and support for me!

Great to see you slowly getting back at it. Very nice. And great work on the -38 thus far.

With regard to your inquiry regarding those decals, yes, I have used those on my B-17 and they were no issue at all to use. Went down great.
