Model Maniac

I just knew you got an accident which resulted in physical sickness. I hope you'll get better each day. You have such a good wife. Apart from the B-25, she also bought you the 1/32 DeHavilland Mosquito. That's great!

This thread of yours has got 620 replies in just two months, that's probably some statistics! I may not be able to read them all, don't know how many pages.

Yes, sir.  Physical and Mental (I got hit in the head) illness.  This wonderful hobby of ours has helped me get better each day, I thank you for your concern in my health.

Mrs. Toshi is a very good wife.  She always takes care of my needs.  Thank you Model Maniac, I wish you continued success in your collection of kits.

Toshi, I just saw this kit in a local HobbyTown store today. It looked great. However, I heard a loud crash when my jaw hit the floor at the price tag of well over $200!! Congrats on receiving as a gift! Awesome job as well! Mike

Hobby Link Japan had them on special, they are currently out of stock, but if your willing to wait you can pick one up for $146 USD plus shipping.

Yes, there you go, $146.00!  That's even a better deal, you just need to wait awhile until they get their restock in.

If my memory serves me right, Mrs. Toshi purchased this kit for $164.00 plus shipping and handling from eBay.  Check out eBay, there's deals on there all the time.  In my humble opinion, this kit is well worth it.

This is Tamiya's flagship model.

Wirraway
Toshi- a lovely build- top notch ! I was wondering what your thoughts were on the kit as far as value for money goes ? Its over $100 to buy in Australia and I think I will have to be content with the old Revell 1/32 in my stash.

Thank you Wirraway!

My thoughts are as such and this is just my humble opinion.  I've built the 1/32 Revell kit and although a great kit to build for it's time, it is an older mold.

I actually donated that 1/32 Revell finished kit to the maintenance worker here at my condo.  He was extremely grateful and said his son would love it.

The Tamiya kit is light years away!  Well engineered, not a drop of putty used, excellelent fit and finish, and is extremely detailed.  To date, the most detailed OOB build ever.  Can it utilize AM items?  Sure, any kit can.  But this kit builds superbly OOB.  We only live once, GET IT!

Toshi

P.S.  This is so cool, we're half way around the world from each other and can discuss the intricacies of a Tamiya 1/32 Mosquito.

If anything at least purchase one of the top four Tamiya 1/32's.  Corsair (My favorite), Mustang, Zero, and Spitfire.

That is one awesome plane Toshi! Great WIP too. I really enjoyed following along. I'll have to move my two Tamiya 1/48 Mosquitos up the queue!

Steve

Thank you and thank you.  I much more enjoy you following along. I have to be that much more careful in my builds to meet your(s) and Forum members standards.

I'd love to see a WIP of your Tamiya 1/48 Mosquitos, queue them up I say.

Thank you for your support!

Three words, Toshi.

Fab You Luss. What an ambitious project and a perfect finish. Just see how much you have advanced, in this short time. You left me in your dust a long time ago.

Excellent work, thank you so much for all of the work in producing your text and photos. Helpful to all of us.

Patrick

Thank you Patrick206.  Oh no, I still have a lot of catching up to do.  Thank you, it's my pleasure to post, produce, text, and photograph my work.  That's half the fun and it's helpful especially to me!

I get to see my mistakes and correct them and what I don't see Forum members correct things for me as well.

Thank you BrandonK.  It was one hell of a build I must say.  Don't be jelly, ALL your builds are far superior to even this.  If anyone is jelly, it's me!  LOL!
