Jay Jay

Oh Boy, I get to watch Mr. Toshi do justice to another kit that i really want to build. I surely hope that the IPMS Orlando show has this one for sale, cuz this year I'm gonna buy the 1/32 OS2U

I'll be watching with great interest and drooling on my computer. Come on Big Ed set, come on Big Ed set.

Hi Uncle Jay Jay!  I don't know if I can do justice to this kit but I will do my best.  I hope so too that the Orlando IPMS Show has this kit for sale.

Yes, I'm eagerly waiting for this BIG ED SET to arrive!  This is torture!  LOL!  I do have an external Eduard PE set, maybe I can start the external side of this kit!  Yeah!

My amazing psychic powers are telling me that there is much masking in your future.  LOL.  Seriously, love watching your WIPs, and this is a unique aircraft.  Looking forward to the build.

D

Luckily, the BIG ED SET has a masking set included.  I'll Definately try my best to make this kit presentable for FSM Forum members.  DMan, thank you for the support and read and reply.  I extremely appreciate it!

The Kingfisher was always one of my favorite aircraft, dating all the way back to when I first built the old Monogram kit (I have two of those in my stash now). I am interested in watching you build this one, and eventually I will likely grab this bigger kit myself.

I built the old Monogram Kingfisher when I was very young (It was a favorite subject of mines as well) after watching the movie "Murphy's War".  In that movie, a seaplane was depicted.  I built that same Monogram Kingfisher kit just recently except it was a "High Tech" (Comes with PE) kit.

I've been interested in this Kitty Hawk Kingfisher kit for a while now hence my purchasing this kit.  Thank you so much for following my thread as well as the support you've given me!

Here's the start of the kit.  It starts with the engines first!

Hey Toshi, ya got a speck of something next to that dime.....oh, it's PE.  Stick out tongue

Don't you just love getting packages.  Brightens my whole day when I come home to find one on the porch, especially if it come quicker than I was expecting.

That is quite a set you got there.  I suspect that will keep you out of trouble for a while.

D

Dwayne or Dman or just D.  All comments are welcome on my builds.

LOL!  Yes, it's definitely the PE Big Ed Set I've been waiting for.  I'm very happy it came in as I've been waiting for that delivery for a couple of days.  It does brighten my day as well.  This kit and PE set will keep me busy for a while.  I also have a Big Ed Set coming in for the Trumpeter F4U-1A Corsair kit.  So I'll be out of trouble!  LOL!

Yes, that's right!  Wiring were separate pieces, this makes things much easier with it as one piece.  Thank you goldhamme, I'm just trying to catch up to forum members.  Thanks for the visit!

The dime is too small. I cannot get a grasp of what  the size of things truly are. So I'm shipping you a "better" gauge. Hope it arrives soon.

Seriously though that engine is a JEWEL ! Will be watching your progress !

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

You got PhotoBucket bombed.

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.
