Shipwreck,  They are aeromaster decals if I recall correctly.  It looks like someone cut out what they needed and left the rest in there.  It looks like everything is there that I would need for either version, I'll find out for sure when I go to put decals on.  The missing piece is a round piece in the rear of the fuselage, that's all I can tell from the instructions.  It states to only use it if you are doing the Flak Bait version.

Yep, I have an old Z/28.  Not all original, but makes no difference to me.  It was my Dad's car from Aug 81 until Aug 2007 when he gave it to me.  Long story short she was sitting for the past 6 years, and I couldn't stand the fact that she was just sitting there any longer, she needs some work, so it took me a few hours to get all the tires inflated, and get her started.  But she's home now, still runs and drives just fine, mostly body work that needs to be done.

UnwaryPaladin, Thanks!  I do really need to try my hand at stretching sprue.  I have a ton of it from just about every model I have completed.  I could probably spend an entire day just stretching sprue, lol.

fotofrank, it's a stand made by Tamiya.  There is another piece that comes with it as well.

UKguyInUSA, Thanks!

Got Plastic, Thank you!

I'll get back to work on this soon.  Have daily life getting in the way, lol.

Hey Keyda, here's a picture that might be helpful or at least give you the feel of the project. I saw the cockpit of Flak Bait years ago at the Air and Space Museum in DC. In 2014 it was moved to a restoration center as shown. In the Air and Space display you could walk up to behind the pilots seats. I do remember it raising the hair on my neck a bit!

Thanks, Keyda. I'm gonna find myself one of those things. Your build is looking great. The interior detail and the flight deck just look so good.

Back in the 80s, I rode GoldWing motorcycles with a fellow who flew Marauders during WWII. He loved the airplane! He trained in the B-26 at MacDill Army Air Field near Tampa before shipping over to Europe. My friend's last name was Commander. Very appropriate since he indeed flew left seat. My friend was 6' 4" tall. When I asked him how he got into the seat, he'd just say that it wasn't easy but after he got into the seat, the airplane fit him perfectly.

OK. In the stash: Way too much to build in one lifetime...

Miss Keyda, great work so far on your Marauder! Looks outstanding!

Got a question:

Did you airbrush the interior, or is it all hand-painted?

Hodakmax, Thanks for the pic!  I may have to try and make it to that musuem in my lifetime, lol.  Eventually I'm going to get to Ohio as well.

fotofrank, Thanks!  Hubby is 6'4", so I know all about tall men trying to climb in tiny spaces.  He complains about my car and my S-10 pickup if he ever gets in them, lol.

Devil Dawg, Thank you!  The inside of the fuselage was painted with the airbrush, and the bulkheads, but the rest was hand painted.

Great job on that interior! That's how I usually paint my interiors as well - airbrush the main interior color, then hand-paint the details after the main color has dried for a few days.

Where are you finding time to build so many kits so quickly??

Stay at home Mom, lol.  If it's a crumby day outside I'll spend a few hours doing my house chores, then the rest of the day working on a model.  Take a break to make dinner, then back at it until my daughter goes to bed, which as of lately isn't until after 10pm since she's on summer break.  I've been busy with summer adventures though, the fair yesterday, and seeing a B-17 Flying Fortress (Madras Maiden) today.

That's great to hear, Keyda! Just my opinion, but I think all children should be raised by a parent, regardless of which one has to work and which stays home with the kids. Children shouldn't be raised by a day-care center. Be a lot less problems in the world today if that were so.

Anyways, you're doing a great job with your modeling. Looking forward to seeing the pictures of your completed B-26. Good Luck with it!

Great model, so far! Could you tell what paint did you use for cockpit (I mean - what colour)?

Been a couple weeks since I've last touched the Marauder.  I've had a lot going on as of recently.  My Dad passed away unexpectedly.  It will probably be a little while before I get back to this.

Thanks Devil Dawg.

Aleksander, I can't even remember what paint it was, I would have to look at the instructions.  I'll check and get back to you.

My condolences.  I hope he got one more ride in that Camaro.  A shame if he didn't, but he'll always be riding shotgun for you.

I'm sorry for your loss Keyda. I lost my father unexpectedly in 2013 so I can relate. I'm here if you ever need to talk.

Thank you everyone for the condolences, it's been a rough couple of weeks.  I'm still going through stuff in his house.  I got the modeling bug from him, only difference is he did cars, and I do planes.  I do plan on doing a 69 Z/28 in his memory, but that will be after I finish the Marauder.  Hopefully I can get back to it soon.

Keyda, my deepest condolances on the loss of your father.  May God wlecome him with open arms into heaven, and may you and your family know His comfort and peace.  Know that we all are here for you when and if you need us.  I lost my mom somewhat unexpectantly a few years ago, so I can understand where you are now.  Hang in there and take care.

Thank you!  It's been tough.  I have my good days and bad days.  I finally felt ready to get back to the bench and start back up on the Marauder today.

Spent most of my time masking the canopies.

I did some sanding, and added putty in places.  There is going to be many rounds of putty, sanding, and primer.  I'm trying to retain as much of the raised detail as I can, and do this historical bird justice.

Thanks!  A very steady and patient hand with a razor knife, lol.  It's a pain in the butt!  Just glad I was finally able to get back to my bench and have some sort of progress.
