Very nice details you added to the engine! This month I also built 2 x Fw190 in 1:72 scale. One of them is Revell's 33 years old kit, with some interesting info:

FW190 1:72 Revell, GB @1978 Info on box:

"From a pilot's point of view, the FockeWulf 190 was perhaps the most beautiful fighter plane ever designed. Its clean and straightforward lines drew praises from both the German pilots who flew it, and the alli
ed pilots who fought against it. Beautifully combined with its appearance was the capability for top speed, neck-snapping maneuverability and heavy armament. The FockeWulf 190 ranks as one of the most successful fighters ever developed."

And this is my build of the most beautiful fighter plane ever designed:

I'll be following this build, too, as I am working on an older version of this kit, the high tech version that has PE parts, but minimal interior detail.  It has the older raised rivet detail on the wings and engraved panel lines on the fuse.

1/32 Hasegawa FW190D-9 WIP (Completed)

Thought I post my WIP for those not following the GB threads. This is the very fine Hasegawa 1/32 Dora.

here is the box image:

I will be doing Oberstleutnant Gerhard Michalski's Dora from Stab/JG4 which has a super groovy mottling scheme.

Got the pit ready for some paint.

Hasegawa gives you the option of closed or open engine vents so open they will be. I used the UMM razor saw to clean up the separations.

I also have the engine plug assembly partially together and ready for paint. This is partially visible thru the undercarriage bay and looks ok but I will be adding more wiring and plumbing to make it look busier. I was hoping for a simple OOB build but I think the fun is just beginning.

I usually don't use the pilot figure but darn, this one is VERY nice with excellent details and think it's a special feature of this particular kit issue. I did use the UMM scriber to undercut some strap and uniform details so the washes will settle better.

I grabbed this kit on ebay a while back for a really great price with free shipping and has the Eduard pit detail set and brass cannons included. Hasegawa has done a great job with the pit and the IP details so a pe replacement is an overkill in this case so I will use the Eduard set on another future build.

I usually start with the IP and pit but I had to play with all those lines and wires first in the engine plug part. The plug bulkheads were painted RLM 02, and the engine parts got some Humbrol Metalkote Aluminum and flat  black. Working from photos, I grabbed my box full of electronic junk and located cables to be used for the engine plumbing. I cut some brass tube and used thin CA to secure them to the drilled holes. I then inserted the black wires as in the reference photos. It will mostly be hidden once it goes into the fuselage but the busy look is there.

I added several lines on the other side.

The plumbing fills the area and busies things up.

and the other side

and dry fitted in the fuselage to see how it looks

I still may add more lines to further make it look more busy. The real Dora had a ton of wires and lines in there. Once the part is secured to the fuselage it will receive some oil washes for weathering to dirty things up a bit. Still lots of small things to do.
