Wow, that is a work of warbird art. The Hellcat is my favorite USN fighter, and your Hellcat looks ready to take off for another round of dogfighting. Superb!

You, sir, are an artiste.

Amazing work. Bow Down Thank you for taking the time to document the WIP for us. I'm afraid I have neither the artistic ability or patience for such a paint job, but it is certainly a view** to read and learn.

**edit: I meant a 'treat', not a 'view'.

This thread is, as others have said, a fine reference work. The build is outstanding!

A very well done mid-war weary 'Cat.  Hat is off to your attention to detail as well as the tutorials as you went.

Thanks for sharing her with us.

This is awesome! Just what i needed to hel with my Corsair build. This is my first prop in 2 decades so i have no experience with weathering. You’ve got a perfect tutorial here. Thanks!

In the pattern: Scale Shipyard's 1/48 Balao Class Sub! leaning out the list...NOT! Ha, added to it again - Viper MkVii, 1/32 THUD & F-15J plus a weekend madness build!

This is a stellar build.  So many great tips and techniques, and the final presentation is fantastic.  You are to be congratulated on your skills, and the inspiration you give to me and to others.  YesYes

Cheers,
Mark

Guys!! Wow. Every post of every thread I read on this forum convinces me more and more that we've got just about the nicest group of people around the internet. I can honestly beat that horse to death about that all day long. Very grateful for all the high praise. More than that though I'm happy to see this thread is of some good use to you out there. I'm always sponging up tips and tricks here and there, and I feel it selfish of me if I don't pay it forward in whatever way I can.

That being the case, if there's ever something you see that I didn't discuss thoroughly enough, don't hesitate to ask. I'm happy to ramble about whatever you like. I try my best to keep these WIPs brief and to the point. Again, thanks to all of you. I'd go through the lineup above here but it's difficult to make time post anything nowadays. As it is I'm on a quick coffee break. =]

Very humbled by your replies. Thanks for following along.
