On my bench: Academy 1/35 UH-60L Black Hawk
Thanks Chad!
Fuselage and tail are together. There was a slight step along the fuselage join, and it was a tight fit around the cockpit getting the halves together. Not sure if it was the kit or me (probably me). But, just a little bit of sanding and good as new.

I have a question for the hive mind. The directions call for some clear parts that go into the nacelles. I can't for the life of me figure out what they are. Are they some kind of gauge or indicator? I'm not too worried about installing them after paint, I just don't know what they are or what parts of them (if any) need to be painted. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

I finally made enough progress to post some pics! This kit is pretty fiddly, but looks pretty good.

silentbob33Sorry I didn't see this earlier Max, glad to have you along. I just have a little bit more detail painting left in the cockpit and seatbelts to do then I can get some pics posted.
No worries, buddy! I’ve been in and out, May was impossibly busy and I’m recovering from shingles right now. That means I get caught up on the forum! Haha.
Hope you get some quality bench time soon.
I guess what the boss says goes! Pretty interesting weapon, very similar to what the B-25 was used for in the Pacific theatre.
Can't wait to see how this one comes together!
Ooh I'll be definitely watching this. I've built the 88 nightfighter, it's a little fiddly but a great kit. One item of note. When gluing the wings together. Glue the tips to the to the wing before gluing the halves together. Helps stop a step at the join.
Oh, very cool. I've always been curious about the Dragon kit quality. I'll pay special attention to this one.

"Can you fly this plane and land it?...Surely you can't be serious....I am serious, and don't call me Shirley"
This should be fun to watch, not a variant i have seen built. What limited info i have on the type suggests it did serve with the unit you mention, an experimental unit, along with a single anti tank staffel and a Gruppe of KG 1, which served as an evaluation unit.
I’m in. I’ve always liked this kit!
Next on the bench in Dragon's Ju 88P-1 in 1/48. I've had this in the stash for awhile, and my 4 year old daughter saw it and has been begging me to build it for a few months. I figured this is as good a time as any.
I've done a little bit of research, and I can't find any actual pictures of the plane that the kit has markings for, 5K+LP of KG.3. Everything I can find shows that plane was a Ju 88A-4. Also, every picture of a Ju 88P-1 I can find shows them as a part of Versuchskommando Für Panzerbekämpfung. If anyone has any additional info I'd appreciate it. Anyways, here's a picture of the boxart.
