I keep hitting "escape", but I'm still here.
Thanks Jim, Chad, Pawel & Goldhammer!
goldhammer As an aside, my lady grew up in Towson in the 50's to mid 60's. Her folks had the Dairy Bar business and did some catering.

Cool! I've only been here since '83...but the neighborhood I live in used to be home to Gino Marchetti and several of the other great 'Old Colts' players back in those same years. It's a great area!

Nice job Greg! Makes me want to find a 1/32 Revell Mosquito and finish it, which I never did as a kid. Thanks for sharing.
Buddy- Those who say there are no stupid questions have never worked in customer service.
Very nicely done Greg! The upgrades and attention to detail You put into this build are stunning! I built this same aircraft in 1/48 scale quite a while back and found some decent pics of the pilot standing in front of the machine on line. truly a brave Pilot and You did Him justice with this outstanding build!

I read accounts of Horbaczewski's last mission that said he was suffering badly from the flu at the time...but of course he flew the mission anyway. That's what leaders do. I've always admired the Polish and other foreign squadrons, fighting for their countries' freedom 'in another language,' to boot.
"Can you fly this plane and land it?...Surely you can't be serious....I am serious, and don't call me Shirley"
lawdog114Beautiful work. Yeah, those stripes were usually slopped on with mops. Unfortunately that technique doesn't bode well in the modeling world.
Thanks, Joe!
Yeah, the only time I've really seen it work is in dioramas where the mops and paintbrushes are depicted as well. I think masking with the ragged tape edge is the best compromise: it looks 'right' from a distance, and not too weird close-up.
