Advice And Input Please On HK 1/32 Scale Bombers
Posted by Zar on Sunday, July 28, 2019 1:02 PM

Hi all, I'm the first to admit my skills are sub par but I love the hobby and have tons of "builds" under by belt. The Lancaster and B-17 are among my favorite planes of all but wondering if the B-25 might be a better kit to get my feet wet with this brand? Can anyone tell me if one of these three kits is easier and has less or hardy any fit issues than the others? Thanks.

Are you following my Lancaster build? That's HK's Lancaster Dambuster in 1/32.

with most kits, it is not your skills it is your ability to think through and have a picture of the finished thing in your mind and make it happen!

The thing about HK's range is size and space. Both to build and display.

The builds are not hard, just BIG, especially the Lancasters and B-17.

The B-25 are also quite big too but to get the feel of the range and how HK approach their subjects and designs their kits I suggest that first you have a go with their Mosquito and Dornier 335 kits.

while those are large aircraft they won't over face you size wise. You will find a couple of builds of mine on here that cover them and know that there's always help here Should you need it or to bounce questions and ideas off.

when it comes to the B-25, B-17 and Lancaster, it is not the part count or detail, it is just the physical size of them.

Thanks so much for the encouragement and information. I'll look at your build report. Love The Dambuster!!
