Ezra leaves on Saturday, late afternoon back to Columbus, Ohio for 2 weeks. Then Mrs. Toshi and I will have him back again for a week so before he leaves, I’m trying to get the A-10A primered, pre-shaded, painted, gloss coated and ready for decals.
No my FSM Forum Members, it’s not because I can, it’s because I want to. You see, Ezra calls this build the ”Shark Mouth Airplane”. So before he leaves I want to at least have the satisfaction of accomplishment! In other words, he can put the sharks eyes and mouth decal on. By the way, the shark mouth A-10A we are building is the “A-10A, Captain Kim Campbell, 75th FS/23rd. Wing, Iraq, 2003”.
Colonel Kim Nichole Reed-Campbell (born June 6, 1975 in Honolulu, Hawaii)[2] is a United States Air Force officer and Senior Pilot in the U.S. Air Force. She was decorated for piloting her A-10 Thunderbolt II back to base in southern Iraq after taking heavy anti-aircraft artillery (AAA) damage in aerial combat over Baghdad during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. After her tour of duty in Iraq ended, Campbell gave lectures throughout the United States about her experience, including one at the National Air and Space Museum. Kim Campbell was promoted to the rank of Major in the autumn of 2006.
