Haha.  Thanks for the compliment.  Let me clarify a little here. I'm 41 and have an art background so a lot of the weathering techniques are not new to me.  Have loved aircraft since I was 3.  About a year ago I started finding some of the YouTubers modeling channels.  I was hooked and kept thinking "I can do that".  So I'm doing it and having a blast.  I have a special project in mind that I'm going to to attempt.  Something I haven't seen on here yet.  I hope I can build what's in my head.  I will share it with everyone when completed.  

For just the fifth build, WOW.

Only tip I can give...once you unmask the canopy, run a blade along the edge of the framing on any bleed through.  Then you can scrape with a toothpick.

DANG! Looks to me like you have a MUCH better appreciation and grasp of the art (as a beginner) than most of us who post here ever did! My first 50 models were garbage - and I loved them all. Slam them together and play with them....maybe see if they flew? Or what would a firecracker or three do to them?

Just a little advice....read as much as you can about finishes and weathering - experiment....and ask questions! Aftermarket masks can really make a difference. Tamiya yellow tape is also really helpful - and it NEVER leaves residue behind.
All the folks here are AMAZING and have an incredible depth of knowledge.
I have NEVER come across someone who was unwilling to share their skills to help others.

John, I'm colorblind too, red green.  I paint by number mostly but I'm pretty much convinced that none of these guys see color the same anyway!

Beautiful job on your Zeke! Your painting/ panel line highlighting/ weathering skills are amazingly good for just your fifth build. Are you using an air brush or rattle can spray paint? I think you should consider using pre-cut masking (Eduards, Montex) for your canopy frame painting in future aircraft builds, your skill level really warrents it IMO.

I appreciate your comments.  Yes, I hadn't thought about masks, but with this build I identified the canopy framing as an area that I want to improve.

I am using an Iwata HP-CS.  My biggest challenge is that I am colorblind.  Anything outside of paint callouts is almost impossible for me to match.  Don't be too harsh if I post a purple Corsair!

Oh WOW! My fifth completed kit... well I don't want to talk about it! 

But you did a beautiful job there!!! Really impressed by the painting on the canopy, I use pre-cut masks but I still hate them.
