I think it builds up nicely. I haven't built the Tamiya but I ran in to very few problems with the Revell. Wing root fit was great. One issue I had was attaching the wingtip to the main wing but some filler and sanding took care of it. At a fraction of the price though it's to be expected. Here is a picture of mine.
