Completed 1/72 Academy P-47D Thunderbolt "Bubble Top"

I ordered a 1/72 Mustang from ebay and inside the mustang box was this kit. I used the last of my MM chrome aluminum for the base and did some weathering with panel lines and chipping effects. Fun little kit and and easy build, great fit all around.

They were only off by 4 ;)

Your a good sport - and who doesn't love a Jug.  I've never seen those markings - looks good.

Thanks,

John

Very nice. Do you mean you got a P-47 instead of a P-51, or were they both in there? I'd be pretty irked if I got a different model than I paid for, personally.

Who keeps stepping on wings?  Someone won't stay off the wings and now I have to apply all these tiny "NO STEP" decals.

To clarify I ordered a P-51 "Old Crow" but this kit was what came in the P-51 box. It had instructions, full kit, and decals...Kit looked factory sealed to me also.

I actually had this P-47 kit in the stash already... I really love these little Acedemy kits.

Thanks for the compliments everyone!

I'm not a rivet counter, but that does not look anything like a Mustang Propeller

Nice work though!
