WINTER WAR FINNISH BUFFALO 1:48
Posted by Est.1961 on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 8:00 AM
I started this as a GB but failed to finish in time. Looking at it in photos I thought why not post it in here, as the family stick to 'very nice' , with me saying 'yes but do you not see what I did to the engine'. I have been using Vallejo colours for a good while now happily. Thanks for looking.

Nice job on my favorite Buffalo colors ever.

(And I can't see what you did to the engine ...the bloody great cowling is in the way! Big SmileYesYesYes)

That's great. It looks super nice. We don't see many of these, well done.

Very nice.  The key to a good Buffalo is a crystal clear canopy and you nailed it

Thanks,

John

Cheers Greg, exactly; they have no appreciation for what is a dumb question. Sad

I've always been very found of the buffalo BK and its bulky shape ever since the first one I built as a small lad.

Very kind John, the first canopy snapped in my fingers as i was placing it on, had to raid my Tamiya pacific version for another. A happy accident then.

Thanks Nick, I enjoyed working on this one.

That looks very sharp! Is that the Classic Airframes kit? I'm building a pre war USN Yellow Wings F2A right now using the Tamiya kit, and I see small differences between the Tamiya kit and yours.

Thanks Carlos,

My kits tend to be Airfix, Revell and Tamiya but I've expanded in the past few years and this kit came from Special Hobby a Czech company I'd be happy to use again. It went together very nicely a little attention was required on the belly and wing root. I also have a kit from a French company Heller because I wanted a Furgunson.  Yes
