I was curious about those red 'tanks'.  And I'm a big fan of the Skyraider and also want to add an airforce version.  Nice job Pawel.  I did the Tamiya mig killer a few years back

Thanks,

John

I've always liked the Skyraider, I don't know why. Kind of an ugly duckling, but very effective. I want to build an Air Force Sandy to go with a Misty,

The ultimate single piston engine propellor attack plane. Old Mr Heineman got it right... again.

Pawel
And look at those propeller tip markings! If you did it in the model everybody would wonder!

Right Pawel, that was the 2nd thing I noticed. That propeller is a bit too realistic for my taste -- I would never do that on a model (and yes, I like neat invasion stripes too! )

Bingo, you know it!  I loved the 'red' bombs when I was a kid. Remember painting them with Testors flat red... Even as a kid though, I was suspicious of their accuracy.. But it was Monogram and they did pretty good research... Glad they are vindicated Cool

That's what I thought, too - and look at how the center section is dirty, but the cones are clean - probably being stored inside and just assembled prior to hanging it on the plane.

Isn't a good reference photo a great thing?

Have a nice day

Would that be a napalm canister?  Red so it's not confused with a drop tank?
