 What you want a trophy? Well, although the work and final look deserves it, you ain't getting one. Instead you are getting the kind of notice and respect the work deserves. I enjoyed the article and your explanations in the steps. You don't need no trophy! They don't make one big enough anyway! Love it! PLUS, You did it to one of my all time favorite aircraft!

Regarding the photography. I use an older Nikon "point and shoot" digital camera that is mounted on a tripod. I also use the timer that trips the shutter.  That way there is no camera shake. 

This is my camera setup. Nothing fancy.

The wing panels located directly above the wheel wells are painted, as on the real plane. The remainder of the model is finished in Bare Metal Foil. 

Following is the wing of my B-24 that was finished in Bare Metail Foil

One reason that I like BMF is because it is easy to reproduce the look of rivets. I don't think this is possible on a painted surface. 

He said he used Bare Metal Foil.

Nope, it is a 1/48 scale Monogram kit molded in a strange looking silver plastic color.

Nice going.  Looks awesome.  Shelf of doom to magazine cover is a great story.

Oh wow! Yeah, a lot of those old kits though detailed has some 'rough' areas to them. And warped parts too, gee friggin' whiz!!! 

But you did a masterful job on her, the NM foiling looks perfect!!! 

Got my copy Sat but haven't had a chance to do more than flip though it. Looking forward to reading the article!
