ModelNerd - I've cut back to 2 pots of coffee a day from 4. Guess that explains the steadier hands. I don't feel that the Monogram B-26 is miserable. The nacelles and cowls fit fine after trimming and sanding. They may not even need filler. Fitting the resin interior has been a lot of hard work, though. It took me nearly all weekend to thin down the nosegear well and cockpit floor until they would fit. The sidewalls will be more difficult, since I have to carve the curvature of the fuselage into these parts. The bottoms alone are about 1/4" too thick.
I figured I'd add a couple pics of some stuff I finished before the kit got shelved.
The wheel wells were pretty much open, with just some inaccurate raised lines on the top. I used sheet styrene, pie-tin metal, solder, and wire to add the details here. The wells haven't been washed or dryubrushed yet.
And here's my little"Band of Brothers" (with Screamin' Eagle patches) that will occupy the scene.
The kit has nine paratrooper figures, but there are three of each pose. I don't think they used clones !
