Does anyone know where to find a 1/32 scale Antonov 225,Hercules C-130,or C-5 Galaxy?I could make do with a 1/48 scale, but not my first preference to work with.

No 1/32 sccale kits that I know of. Do you have a hanger to keep them in a 1/32 C-5 would have a wingspan of 7 feet and a length of 8 feet and an antonov 225 would have a wingspan of 9feet and a length of 81/2 feet.
When in doubt just build it. Mark http://www.ipmslivonia.org/ipms/

There are several 1/72 and at least one 1/48 C-130, but the C-5 and An-225 will be very difficult if not impossible to find.  There is a C-5 vacuu-form in 1/72.  It is hard to find and VERY expensive when you do.  Paul Boyer built one for a Fine Scale Modeler review about 2 years ago.

HI

During my 'internet research' Wink [;)] I found some 1/33 CARD models from a polish company listed on ebay.co.uk, listed under 1/32 Military Air craft section

but sorry i have checked my bid history & details are gone Sad [:(]

Items such as C-130, FW Condor, B-17, DH Mosquito, & Avro Lancaster, Catalina, & sometimes Vac-form canopies were listed & went for between UKP £10 - £20, so keep an eye out & good luck

greetings from the UK, Jon

Why waste your time on 32nd scale, go for a 1/24 scale while your at it.

Thank you all for the help.I liked the comments, they were very funny to say the least.Yes I do have a big appetite for large scale models because I like to go the extra mile on details.I've got a 1/48 scale B-17 with a wing span of 28 inches so I figured the Antonov and C-130 should measure up to about 4 foot wing span at the most.I've got a large room to hang these models from the ceilling and still be above some ones head.(12 foot ceilling)I'm sure that they would cost upwards of $250-$400 dollars and that's fine too.

Keep the comments comming and if some one happens to run across any of these please let me know.I'm not up to date on vaccu-forming parts, but if I must learn then I will do what I have to.

Testors C-130 1/48.

I have a 1/48 Testors C-130. I picked it up at a flea market for $30! New in the Box. The box says it has a 33" wing span.

I loosly placed the kit together and it looked to be just about the same size as my 1/48 B-29.

When I build this one I would love to have another aircraft as cargo inside.

Good News, I have contacted seller via his website where the following items are on a 38 page word file, including a B-29 with 1.3m (4.2 feet) wingspan are listed

He says he will ship to UK or US, but send him an email with your requirements, & he will give you a total inc shipping cost)

the C-130 is still available...... for now...  He is a German speaker, no indication that he can speak english so http://babelfish.altavista.com/tr for translations would be usefull.

I wanted to thank everyone for their help in finding these models for me.Unfortunately,I fell on hard times there at during the Christmas season and wasn't able to follow up on the leads. So I am putting the request out there one more time.I have since found quite a few C-130 Hercules in the mean time and am now searching for a C-5.The hanger is getting a little cramped but I still have enough space for a couple more.  ha ha ha.

I am just an avid fan of all types of modeling and enjoy the larger scales to put more detail into the whole overview.

I recently had a fiasco turning the 1/350 scale Essex into a 1950's USS Kearsarge. The parts didn't fit well for the Essex and the sides were completely wrong for the Kearsarge. The flight deck has gaps and the elevator didn't fit it's compartment either. My grandfather did love it though because he had no idea it was his Christmas present. He served in the armory. We are now looking for period appropriate aircraft and figures for the flight deck.We are looking for 1st year jet aircraft like the Banshee.
