1/48 Scale RF-4C Phantom Kits

I suspect that the 1/48 Italeri RF-4C/E "Photo Phantom II" kit (Kit #810) is a Vietnam-era RF-4C with the angular camera bay and the Hasegawa RF-4C Phantom II (Kit # 09557) is a much later variant (Desert Storm era?) with the more faired in camera bay.

Did I get that right?

I'm looking for a retailer with the Vietnam era kit. Thanks.

When you get your Testors RF-4 there are a couple things to watch for. The cockpit is very basic and I've heard that there are shape issues with the area around the afterburner cans.. I've got two of these in the stash. One is going to be in the early gray over white and the other is going to be in the Viet-Nam era SEA camo.

I haven't looked at the nose on the Hasegawa kit yet, but what's involved in back-dating it to SEA-era RF-4C?
