I finished up the chrome. The wiper arms were done with aluminum. Now just need to paint the side markers, wiper blades and door locks (Fingers a way to big to foil those hehehe).

Okay, so the long promised pics of the wings... Already started building a bit more, but nothing to show yet, just some prep-work!

Firstly the Jordan wings - sorry it seems there was a bit of movement on the camera! And some fluff left...

And then the Brabham wing - with the J197 wings in the foreground for a size comparison.

Almost done.

Here's a few progress shots. I did run into a snag where the engine would not fit into the body without forcing it. I pulled the engine back out and mounted the chassis and body. It is a very tight fit and since the radiator mount can go in after I recommend to anyone who builds this one to install the engine after the body and chassis are together. The chassis had a tendency to twist back out of the body so I glued it together.

I couldn't resis so I started on the MonkeeMobile while I was waiting for stuff to dry. The fun part was blocking and taping the nose so I could weld it in.

Here is the completed photo for the Dodge 440 Six-Pack.

Not sure what went wrong on this one. I have the engine and transmission sitting all the way into their mounts. First I had a problem where the body would not slide down over the engine., Then I had an issue where the hood would not sit down all the way. I broke out the dremel and added some clearance so now I have a small bubble in front of the scoop. The only thing I think of is when assembling the engine I had to do some work to make the heads sit correctly and maybe that threw everything of. :)

I also have the Gremlin I want to try and finish this week. I just need to finish the window trim and it'll ready to assemble.

Wow! Some great work and builds everyone! Sorry I haven't made much progress - I've probably got too many irons in the fire, so to speak! Anyway, I finally got some primer on the parts and got the glass Futured, though I did forget to take a photo of the glass. Here's the Parts  :

I just noticed that in the rush to finish I forgot to  add the brake booster. :)

Eric-I really like the Dodge. A friend of mine had one of those back in the day. It was a lot faster then my 327 Camaro!

Weccan-things look good so far!

Oops I almost forgot, I took some pictures of the Vette this weekend.

Eric the color is MM One Coat Lacquer  Fiery Orange.

I may use that color on one of my builds.

I got the MonkeeMobile primered and hope to start painting it tomorrow. I have most of the foiling done on the Gremlin so I may have it done this week.

I did manage to get out in the shop today for a few. It's soooo hot I can't stay out there to long hehehehe.

After rubbing out the primer with a paper towel, I sprayed the first coat of red . The color is Wicked Red from Creatix. It's the first time I've used this brand and I think I like it. They are pre-mixed for the airbrush and spray great. I already bought the yellow for the GSX which is my next one after the MonkeMobile and Gremlin.I also got the top and interior painted. The dash is not mounted in, just test fitting. There is quite a fit issue with it. It will not fit in all the way with some heavy modifications. I had to sand down the sides really thin, then notch them out on the under edge so the dash could rotate forward and sit right. But hey what fun is it if everything was gumdrops and lollipops hehehehe. Getting rid of the body seams was a lot of work but they came out great. Elbow still hurts from all the sanding though hehehehe.

Howdy Tony, Eric, Dale, Seabe, Waynec and all the others I can't seem to think of at the moment.  Its been a long summer and I have not been able to add to the build posts but I have been following along.  Some wonderful F1 stuff from you guys and Waynec you do some fine work on some interesting subjects.  Eric, you are just a kit building Monster!  LOL!   Now that I have all the farm work completed I have a little time to gloo something besides watch corn grow.  Tony, I know this is not on my build list but I got this idea while searching for some tractor parts online.  I ended up at a site with lots of pics of old farm equipment and thought I would give it a try.  

What I have is a 1923 Farm Truck.  I used parts from the AMT 1923 Delivery Van kit, frame, suspension and engine.  I worked up a wood bed and wood firewall.  This one will have no fenders.

The short time I have worked on this one I have spent most time weathering the wood.  I have rounded up some items that seem to work well with this subject and will give them the weathered look also.  

The bags are Tamiya 1/35 sand bags and will work just fine for sacks of seed corn.  The seat back braces are made from a paperclip with one end pounded flat.  The seat cushion is from the kit.  The Barrels are Tamiya items also.

The T engine is pretty simple and after some weathering I will wire it up.  The last are a couple of pics of the weathering process.  I plan a companion build for this, a 1925 T tractor conversion.   That will follow later.

Glad to see ya back. That is some awesome work.! Can't wait to see it and the T Tractor done. Are you planning to make a diorama with them? That would be nifty! :)

Some minor progress my side. But had an event on yesterday and lead-up to that (and bad weather) played a role... Hope to take some pics soon and post. But very slow progress.

Rommelkiste,I love the farm truck Idea. When I was growing up my Aunt, and Uncle had a little hobby farm. I would go and stay with them for a month or so in the summer. My Cousin, and I would work on some of the bigger farms. It seemed like all of them had one or two of those old tucks around. Some of them were even running!

Got a little time to play with the T farm truck today.  I got to add some more weathering finishes and some more parts.  I just might get this thing finished in the next week and get to start on the Model T Tractor conversion I have planned.   

65, I think the oldest farm truck I have seen in service local is a '39 Diamond T.  As a kid in the late 50's I saw all kinds of old relics being used here but there are very few left now.    LOL! I still use a '39 ford tractor for different jobs.   I would rather take an old relic and make a work horse out of it than spend 70K for a new import!

I finished up the engine on the Gremlin. I should have it finished this week. Kinda gettin tired of looking at it hehehehe.

Funny thing happened this weekend. I went to sand the MonkeeMobile to prep it for the first clear coat, and the paint just rubbed off like rubber. It's a new paint I haven't used before and the only thing I think of is that it doesn't like the primer I used, or maybe the humidity? Oh well, it's in the strippin' tank now hehehehe :)

So, while I am waiting for the paint to strip, I started on the 70 GSX. I sprayed the yellow base coat. I am thinking of using a yellow pearl on this one.
