OK, just jamming along. Adjusted some of weathering on the wings, repainted a couple of engines, painted and attached the laser cannons. Got the fuselage assembled, area around the cockpit painted and detailed, and the back half of the fuselage weathered and painted. All that's left is the front half. Engines are just stuck in place for now.

After painting front half of the fuselage, I'll stick on the remaining bits, touch up the engines, and call her done.

Hope everyone is well, and you don't mind me extending this GB a bit beyond the deadline....!

Lol, thanks, guys! Appreciate the kind words. Propeller

Just don't let me forget to paint and attach the R2 unit...! Easy to overlook while moving towards the finish line.

PB,

That's coming along great! With the Star Wars stash I have i could keep this GB going for about 5 years, lol. As it is right now I am working on a Hailfire droid and AT-TE.

Can't wait to see your's done though, keep posting.

-Stephen.

Har! That must be quite a stash. :-)

Thanks, Stephen. I'm def going to keep posting. Got a good amount of painting done on the forward fuselage today, so per usual, I'm just plowing through and painting, weathering, un-weathering, re-weathering, etc, until it looks done.

More of a slow builder than a large SW stash.

That sounds like me. :-) My stash isn't big (despite what my wife thinks!) but I'll run out of life before I run out of kits.

OK, quick update, got the forward fuselage of this space hot rod painted including the markings. Next a coat of Future on all the new paint and then I beat the heck out of it.

Thanks for looking!

And finally, there's still any interest: I'm down to painting the canopy, decaling the R2 unit, and then I'll be done. I'll be posting pics of the completed build this week.

Hope everyone is doing well....

Hec yeah, there is still interest! Looking great there PB! Funny how life tends to get in the way of our plans. Can not wait to see the final product.

Bish, are you still planning on putting the completed builds on  the Sci-Fi forum? I only ask so that I don't post unneccesarily.

Those are really cool, I especially like the royal guard and Boba Fett. At $89 and up, though, I don't think I will pay that.

They are ready made, can be posed as you want. Yeah, when I saw the price, the choice between one of these and five kits was easily answered!

Hey, guys:

Well, despite this kit's and life's best intentions, I finished. Propeller

Thanks for hosting a great group, Bish, you are a gentleman and a scholar. :-) I haven't built a Star Wars model since I was about eight or nine (a loooooong time ago) when my dad "helped" me put together the MPC X-Wing, so it was awesome to bring this full circle.

I didn't really have a plan going in, but ended up with well-worn ship (much like the Y-Wing build). In my mind, this T-65 saw tons of combat against the Empire, both space and planetary, and this is how she ended up after Death Star II was blown up (before the T-70s made her obsolete)--lots of hasty field repairs, patch jobs, paint touch-ups, etc to keep her operational.

Anyway, sorry to prolong this GB, and appreciate everyone indulging my sloooow building pace and letting me continue well past the deadline. I hope to join the next SW GB at the end of the year. I have a FM TIE in the stash, or maybe there will be some new kits from Bandai et al. that I'll want.

Cheers and thanks for looking!

Awsome job PB, i love it. I do like the well worn look.

I'll get a pic posted up front tonight and hopefully will be able to do the round up.

Thanks or taking part and extending the GB a bit.

PB,

Very well done, I really like the weathering! You've inspired me to dig out my X-wing for the next Star Wars GB!

Got you added to the front page PB, and thanks again. And its got me thinking about doing my FM X-Wing (yes, i do have some rebel kits). I already know what i am doing for GB III, but i might have to do this for GB IV.

I have a bit to do tonight guys, so if i can't get the build review up tonight, don't wory, i have not forgotten. I will deffinatly get it up this week.

And thank you all. Remember, GB III kicks off Dec 16th. Thats only 10 months tomorrow, so get your builds ready. Wink

Ok guys, i finally got around to posting the GB round up.

http://cs.finescale.com/fsm/modeling_subjects/f/6/p/170010/1877331.aspx#1877331

Thanks again to all who took part and made another great GB.

No, Bruce has just made me aware of some new info that i had missed. The release of Ep VIII has been pushed back until Dec 15th 2017, 7 months later than planned. So, after a rethink, we have two options. Star the next GB as planned, Dec 16th, release date for Rouge Squaron, and run it for a year. Or start on May 25th 2017, 40 years after the release of Ep IV, and run for 7months.

Let me know what you guys think, i will leave it open for a while to give you a chance to let me know.
