Thank you sir! As I said in the post, I usually lay down the Black, then the Red and finish off with the hull color, but the shape of the hull makes it REALLY difficult to mask off for the hull color. So I ended up laying down the Tropical Green then the Red. Hopefully that information will help anyone who might be building this kit or the Late War version.

I’m stuck on the life raft. The kit has an fine one but not great. So I purchase a 3D version from Shapeways and it’s much better. However, I’m not satisfied quite yet. I want to detail it a bit more but I’ve given up on superdetailing it. The first photo shows what a ”standard“ raft looks like. The last two shows the one I purchased.
I’m trying to figure out a way to secure a line around the edge. Of this was in 1/35 scale I would detail all the rest but not now. If anyone has any ideas on how I can secure a line around this I would be eternally grateful!

Dang Crown, that plane looks great. I agree with Scott, nice paneling and streaking on a well laid down paint job.

While trying to figure out the raft situation, my fingers became itchy... so..... I decided that the aft .50 cal canvas dodger needed some detailing. I first stripped some speaker wire and then then drilled holes around the upper edge just below the frame. Then I started sewing wire around the dodger. My first 20 or so attempts were unsuccessful to say the least. I would get to a certain point and the wire would break. So, I kept creating longer and longer pieces of wire until I was successful.
Of course I destroyed all the har work I had previously done blending the two halves together. Also, I found that the canvas had been sewn together vertically fore and aft. I tried the wire and it was a mess, so I looked on evilBay and found PE stitching in 1/48 that can used on WWI aircraft. I’ll clean everything up later.

Got the mufflers on and painted, so here’s a shot of the stern.
Neat work, painting them in place like that!
Finally some progress to report on the Henschel. Here are the some of the sub assemblie completed. Landing gear, props, and engine nacelles, cockpit...

The model is assembled and ready for priming. I used gull grey, a nice neutral grey...
Another feable attempt at preshading. I really have got to work at that...
Next update will be color appiled, decaling and the final results. See you soon.

Looking good, Mark. You did a nice job getting the stripe on the prop spinners. I've always found those things a challenge to mask and paint.
Thanks for the comments. About those stripes. They are are a pain, so truth be told, I used thin decals. Maybe that's taking the easy way out, but iot works for me and this is suposed to be fun, right?
Anyway, here the color has been applied and the decal application has begun...
The underside "blue" has completely covered my "preshading". I think I'm going to give up on that.
So with no further ado, here it is all finished, with a bit of weathering. I tried to how some paint chipping along the forward edges of the wings. My thinking was this bird was operating in some primative conditions at some forward makeshift runway.

I finally got started on the Stuka last night.
It will be interesting and educational to see how this builds up, Ed. I built Airfix's old version years ago--and almost did Revell's, until I dropped it on the floor. I have some Stuka decals around, so I'll probably be doing more in the future.
It's looking good so far! Any comments about parts-fit?

Just a photo of the Stuka glued together with some lite sanding without any putty.
Since this subject had the spats removed I was trying to think of how I was going to do this when I found these at Victory Models.
Your Stuka is looking good so far 68! I’m curious to see how those wheel yokes attach to the kit parts.
