Finally got some time to get started on my Meng M2A3. It will be slow going until Christmas.

Look forward to seeing more KC. That anti slip sounds interesting, i take it its a stick on item if its intended for certain vehicles.

There are two different systems.

I suppose the texture of the anti-slip coating really depends on the vehicle you're looking at.

The Merkava at the German tank museum for example just has what looks like a layer of straight up fine gravel added to most surfaces.

Well all the parts have their preliminary paintings and I did the tracks now for some putting together, weathering and touch ups.

Got a little more done today. Mostly on the upper inside. I put some lead wires in there to add a little to it then asked myself why I wasted my time since nobody would ever see it once I put it together. Anyway I don't have any idea when I'll have more time with Thanksgiving coming up. It will be sometime after then before I can get back on this.

One thing. I plan to build is a little different because of all the painting and weathering I'll have to do on the insides so I guess I'll build the main parts, paint them then put them together and weather then start on the outside.

As you can see below the detail is very good, but the mold ejection pin marks on the back side of the parts are pretty bad.

Okay, so I have been lax in keeping up with my “in progress” photos.  And I mistakenly attached the moniker “Paladin” to my M-109A2 (I have been corrected by a more knowledgeable Army friend that the Paladin label wasn’t used until the A6).  Be that as it may, the M-109A2 is finally DONE!

Okay, I decided my next entry will be the BMP-2 from ERTL/ESCI:

Made some progress on the Swedish "S" tank. The roadwheels, sprokets, and lower hull pieces have been built. I've also started building some of the sub-assemblies: the commanders coupla; loaders hatch; exhaust, etc. One thing I have noticed is the very small parts that in some cases could've been molded together, but instead are molded separately. It's not a real problem, just more time consuming and care needs to be taken when removing them from spue trees or cleaning them up. 

I think I am going to spray it overall with a dark green base coat. I have not decided exactly how I am going to paint the splinter camoflage pattern just yet (?). It appears that the only items not in the kit are the picket fence brackets at the leading edge of the tank. 

I will post another update with progress photos soon....

A_A, are you using this forums's tool to post your pictures?

When you open up the reply box, click the image insert icon (mountain image with dot):

Another box opens up called Edit image, now where it says Source, that is where you paste the code for your picture and then click Ok:

To access the code for your photo, all I did was open the largest image you have, and right click on it and a menu pops up - click 'Copy Image Location' - that instantly saves your source code for the current image:

Jack, thanks much for the explanation.  My problem is, I don’t see that menu pop up, with “Copy image location.”  You said to right click?  So, that means you’re using a computer?  Because I am doing this from an iPad...how would I emulate a right-click?

Yes, that was done through the computer, and I think not all browsers give that option when right clicking.  No clue about iPad, maybe someone else can answer that? Do you get any option pop up when you tap the photo on your iPad?

Awesome!  Thanks, Jack!  That's what it took, Ihad to go to a regular laptop PC to get the right pop-up menu, would not work on the iPad.

I started the Challanger, and it's ready for the paint booth.

Not knowing anyhing about armor, I don't have a clue what most of the stuff I installed is. I know what the tacks, road wheels, drive spockets, the turret and main gun do but the rest????
