Been working on the other wall for the last few days and after finishing decided to deepen the effects on both some.

Been a while since I've updated, got all the seems smoothed out ans panel lines re-etched.  getting to the taping and painting stage.

now onto gloss coat, decals, flat coat and weathering.

That 210 is coming along nicley John. I have always liked the look of the 210/410s but have never built one.

Thanks.  But a funny thing  the paint is Model Master RLM74 and 75 I think,  and one came out really glossy and the other fairly flat, really weird.  Now I thin my paints with lacquer thinner for my air brush so not sure what happened, can using too much thinner cause it to come out glossy?

Whew. Busy morning. Shot a lot of Model Master gray primer (thinned 2/1). Primed the Bf 109E and some other stuff like bombs for the F9F Panther, propeller and spinner for the Spitfire Mk VIII, flaps for a Mustang. This all will sit for a day or so before I go back and do some pre-shading.

John, thats looking really nice, looking forward to seeing the decals.

Not really just more translucent. Maybe you didn't stir enough but looks very good .

John: No idea here. I'm constantly seeing paint do weird stuff. I paint the same way, same brand, same environment, same thinning ratio, same air pressure and yet get different results...  What you've got looks really good to me though. 

I ran into a few problems last weekend. I had picked the kit up in an estate sale, no telling how old it was but the decals were unusable. I dove into my stash and found some suitable replacements although the swastikas are probably a little big. Since the 1101 never went into production I figured I could use some artistic license on the markings anyway.

I decided to paint the X-4 missiles with a checkerboard nose. They look okay when they are not magnified by the camera.

So I am calling this one finished!

Alltogther a fun, quick and fairly easy build. A couple of minor fit issues but that was probably me.

John: Great progress on that 210. Can't wait to see how all that preshading is going to add to the color coat that goes over it.

Frank: Looking forward to the preshading process! 

JB: Man.....you've got NO kick coming on that build. Beautifully done and good goin' on finding some spare usable decals. Fantastic work bro!!!

JB: Ohhhhh that's sooooooo cool!!! Nice work!!! And yeah as an experimental aircraft I'd not worry too much about the markings- they look just fine to me. 

After 5 days worth of work here we are fellas. I'm really looking forward to putting the finishing touches on this and moving on to the cockpit.

JB, that's a great looking jet. Posing it with a Bf 109 gives it some scale. Really nice.

I'd really like to see a kit in 1/48 plastic.

Today's Bf 109E update: Not much, really, Just did pre-shading on the wings and fuselage with Tamiya Rubber Black. In a day or two I'll spray the RLM 65 Hellblau. I'll be trying Gunze for the first time. A friend gifted me the three colors I need to paint the Messerschmidt in BoB colors.

Steve....it's quite a bit of work but it's worth it all as each piece gets finished.

Frank: Lookin' good. Have never used Gunze paints before but from what alot of folks say they lay down pretty smooth.

John: Looking great so far dude.

My double action was acting up so I did spots with the Paasche H - not as nice but here we are.   Spots on and clear coated.

Dang John!! That was quick!! A little weathering and those'll blend in fine.

Calling this one done.  Nice kit
