Bumped the Group Build Tally thread, should be easy to find for the moment.

We tried to get this as a sticky before with no luck. I haven't seen a single sticky on here sionce they changed the site. That thread is already half way down the page. Going to take a bit to keep it near the top.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

The second is, see if you can find some Super Clean on your side of the world.  It's a purple colored degreaser that a lot of modelers here in the States use as a paint stripper.

i've had trouble finding super clean here, so i use Easy Off oven cleaner (heavy duty), or if that fails, brake fluid.

Kevin, you can count me in too. I build mostly aircraft ( it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that wing  Stick out tongue  ....and two wings are even better! Big Smile ), but I have a Dragon 1/72 M4A3E8 that I started for another GB and never got around to finishing, so this looks like the perfect place to drag it off the shelf and take another crack at it. Thanks!

I'm in, just not sure with what yet.  I've around 20 kits on my workbench, and a few more where some cutting has been done, but nothing yet glued up, and 2 de-boxed kits.  Of course, I might just finish all my part-builds between now and December, but, only if it gets really cold down there...

Welcome to the GB Centhot!  Thanks for signing up.  Just let me know what projects you plan on finishing when you figure that out.  No hurry.  Procrastination is what brought us all here to begin with. Big Smile

Count me in, but give me some time to look through the collection of half-builts to decide which ones to commit to.

Helo guru maybe not.  Blackhawks I know quite intimately but other types, I can only claim a general knowledge of with good sources for details.  When it comes to creative gizmology on any helo, I do have a few things up my sleeve.

Good to know.  The Blackhawk family of helo's are my favorite so I will be sure to get a hold of you when I get around to building one.  Beer

WOW!

I've been thinking about this GB all week, but have not checked in. This thing is growing by leaps and bounds!

I don't have photos, but I do have a list of potential candidates:

- 2 Pak-40's: the old Tamiya and the old-ish DML. Both are 90% complete and just need some paint and a few parts

- IL-2M Sturmovik: again 90+% done. Need to touch up the ordnance and fix a few bumps and bruises

-DML #6245, the Early Jagdpanzer; started it when I lived in Ohio, but got sidetracked. Maybe 5 - 10% done

-Marder 1A2 Schutzenpanzer with scratchbuilt interior. Started over a year ago, but got bogged down. 75% complete

Hello,

Just bookmarking this thread for myself for now. I have a 1/48 A10 from the Secret Santa GB 2 years ago. Why? Lots of underways, newborn, deployment, moving, moving again, moving AGAIN.... If the model (mostly built, but not painted) survives all of that, I will join in when I get set up in Guam.

bbrowniii, thanks for checking in.  Beer  The GB has generated a lot of interest for which I am greatful.

I will add all the potentials to the roster but don't feel like you have to complete them all.....that's why we're here in the first place.Big Smile

Sub Revolution, Thanks for your interest.  You are welcome to join at anytime.  Sometime life happens  Yes  Which is the reason I started this group build.

This is looking to be quite popular!  Right now I count 22 participants representing 30 models (just counting one for those who have not declared a kit) in 3 genres.  I think that it will be a fun change to see the variety that will be here.  Of course, I will be disappointed if there aren't friendly jabs shared between the armor and aircraft guys.

Here's the state of play on my T-72:

As you can see, most of the building was done long ago. Note the missing periscope vision blocks added in strip styrene. The whole sticking point was the tracks. I'm hoping a set of Tamiya vinyls will fix things.

Cheers, M/TB379

I was hoping for at least 10 and we are already double that and we are a still 7 weeks from starting!  Like you said, a good variety already.  I have a 1/25 Corvette Z06 that is about 80% done I may finish here if we don't get any other auto builds signed up.

Thunderbolt379, I am sure your T-72 will look great when you finish it.  Nice fix adding the plastic bits for the vision blocks.  Tracks are a bit daunting for me because I haven't built many afvs.  I am sure you will make them look good.  Thanks for posting the pic.

Bish, I found that pic the other day while looking for more GB badge ideas.  I figured it would look good here as a motivator.
