Arrived today from Russia (with love?) just in time for the GB (?).

It's a beauty!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Oh very cool, I'm planning to see 'Rogue One' in the second or third week. Pre-order tickets are awesome though, congrats!

BTW: I was a bit surprised in my special edition 2006 DVDs to find the original Han/Greelo encounter. Han not only shot first but Greelo didn't even get a shot off.

Lol, awesome! I got Rogue One tickets last night so I'm amped, too. :-)

Congrats on getting the A and X-Wings. I've never been a huge fan of the A-Wing, but sounds like a nice kit.

Got home last night and I think I made a big mistake. I popped in 'Star Wars' and watched it and now I'm rearing to go! I'm thinking to watch 'TESB' tonight and 'RotJ' later this week- I should wait till I get other stuff done but I'm chomping at the bit now.

The Bandai A and X-Wing came in while I was gone. And wow these look nice in the box. Don't think I've ever seen so many parts with a 1/72nd kit. There are multiple colours on each sprue so you really don't need to paint the kit. Of course I'm painting mine but I'm hoping to take advantage of it for a little less masking. Plus either landing gear or a in-flight stand.

Lol, thanks, Gamera! Hotel wifi stinks.

If Bandai's X and A-wings are anything close in quality to their Y, you shouldn't be disappointed.

Hey thanks PB and beautiful work on the F-4 and A-Wing!

PS: Sorry about the double post, the WiFi in this motel room has been excellent all week till tonight. Now it's going in and out randomly...

Hey PB thanks and excellent work on the F-4 and the Y-Wing.

I bought the Bandai A and X-Wing on account of the reviews, hope I won't be disappointed when I get them. Course I think the only other A-Wing out there is the original kit released at the time of RotJ.

Thanks, Bish! I'd also love to light up the SD, but have never done that sort of thing before so....hm.

Anyway, I have two of the FM Ys, but haven't compared them to the Bandai kit. I'm sure somewhere on the Internet someone has, though.

Will be greta to have you on board PB, i ahve you added to the roster on the build thread. Nice job on the F-4. I am looking forward to the SD as well.

Its just the impression i have got from some of their kits, the figures es[pecially with the articulated joints. I was really loking forward to a decent Speedr bike, but was really put off. That Y-Wing does look nice, have you done the FM one. If so, how would you compare them.

Well, after fighting this beast for a few months:

...think while waiting for the Zvezda SD I'll do something small, fun, and easy for this GB:

...and finally, Bish, the Bandai kits are not toy-like at all. Their Y-Wing is probably one  of the better kits I've built and the detail is amazing. Here's my build:

Hope everyone in the States has a great Thanksgiving, and looking forward to the Group starting!

I'm moved into the new house, but I don't have my bench set up yet which is killing me. I have a couple of things to do before I get started on this, but I will definitely be on board with something, the hard part will be choosing what to build...

Not only the price but I'm not sure I'd have anywhere to put a 1/35th AT-AT.

I'd love to see some 1/35th stormtroopers and rebel infantry though.

Umm... Have you guys seen this yet: Link

I would look at getting one... But it is an old article.

I remeber seeing that a while back but have heard nothing since, which does not surprise me with Dragon. I think the 35th AT-AT will be to pricey for most people.

Yeah, I loved the trailer!

The AT-ACT kit is a Revell Snaptite Build and Play so I don't expect much of it. Sounds like it would take a lot of work to build something more than toylike with it.

LINK

Thanks, had not seen that. Thats the other part of the Revell SW i am not to impressed with. Maybe i am being a snob, but these don't do it for me. I have been really dissapointed with model releases since Disney took over, but i guess i should not be surprised.

Thanks for the reminder Bish. Really looking forward to 'Rogue One', much more excited about this film than 'TFA'. I may have to join you guys this time. Probably some sort of Rebellion starfighter, most likely an X-Wing. I'll have to see how things go.

Cool star destroyer, wish I had room for one! Funny I haven't seen that many kits for the new film other than the AT-ACT though.

Be great to have you aboard G. I was not to hot on Rouge one at first, then i saw the first trailer and i was hooked. By the way, where did you see an AT-ACT kit. I have not been to impressed with the new kit releases. Revells are just FM kits with a high price tag and Bandai has not really impressed me, they seem to toy like.

Not reading anything definite on the internet, but it looks like there is a relationship between Revell and Zvezda. Sound like Revell had re-boxed some Zvezda kits in the past. Speculation is Revell may do the same with this Zvezda SD kit. Interesting...

Revell did recently release a 1/35th Sd.Kfz 251 Ausf B that was a re-box of the Zvezda kit. Looking at that SD kit, it seems to have a similar look to the Revell Star Wars kits, so i wounder if they are working together on this.

Bish, you think Mother Russia cares what a little mouse has to say?!?!?

I check out the Zvezda website, and I see they are selling Disney Cars/Planes models kits. I'm guessing they do have some kind of licening agreement.

Probably not. But i was just looking on the scalemates link you posted and one of the guys said they have a general licence. I bet Disney didn't account for SW when they gave it out.

Now i wasn't expecting that. That came out of no where, i thought Disney was being strict with the license. I will be watching that one, i am in need of a decent SD.
