I have cut down quite a bit myself, so much so i can even fit in a none GB build. I only have the floatplane, carrier and 72nd to do this year, and a second one for the 46GB.

Haha, nice play on words!

Yeah, very interested in how the AFV halftracks build compared to the Dragon halftracks.

I built the AFV /3 |Ausf D at the end of 2014 and it was a very nice build. There were a lt of pour stubs to remove, but they were not in view but would hinder fitting some parts. Having built a Dragon Ausf D a few years before and a Dragon Ausf C now, i really don't think there is much between the 2. Fortunatly, for the most part, they do differant versions of the 251. Where they do have kits of the same version, i have tended to go for AFV club.

Thanks, Bish! When I purchase another 251, I was leaning toward the AFV, since I haven't built one. Now I know it will be an AFV!

Bruce -

LOL...I know you are 100% correct with your statement. As soon as I saw your post with your kit, I wanted one. It's a great looking kit and I bet it's going to be a really fun build. Thank you very much for the link. After opening it I found about, ooooh 25-plus I want. I really like this one I attached. Thank you again for the link.

Thanks guys.  Dang, that "Drilling" is pretty sweet looking!  I'm sure the "Uhu" will provide me hours of joy and frustration.  There's loads of conduit and wire in that IR gear, and if that weren't enough, it looks like the 8 kW generator housed in the crew compartment is all but missing.  Better brush up on my scratch building skills.  I can tell there are going to be some really nice halftracks built in this GB!

For those of you looking for a Dragon 251 kit:

1/35 Sd.Kfz. 251/17 Ausf.C / Command Version (2 in 1)

I'm trying my best not to pull the trigger. Hopefully, someone find this to be a good deal!

I have seen that kit Bruce but didn't realise it covered both versions. I opted for the two AFV kits a few years back, but i know this Dragon kit would be a good option.

Seeing as we are posting pics of our bulds, i figured i might as well throw my hat in. I'll be doing two builds for this. The first is a kit that i think has been in the stash longer than any other, must be close to 20 years. So its well about time i built it.

And the second, well, a 251 of course. But which one to choose. I currently have 27 in the stash, so plenty to pick from. I opted for one i have been planning to do for a few years, and i have had this kit for some time as well. It says tamiya on the box, bt the end result will be more of a Tamiya/Dragon/AFV kit.

Where people have commited to a build, you have been added to the roster.

Nice line up so far, it would suit me as it is. But hopefully we can get some none German subjects in there.

Hello Jack -

Thank you for sharing the link. I liked all of the kits. Heck, if I could get away with it I'd buy each one right now. But, I think the wife would be a little mad. (lol) Big Smile

Thanks again Jack for sharing, I enjoyed it.
