thank you taxtp, theuns, simpilot34,mm and jack. I used model masters enamels with tamiya black wash. I did some exhaust stains since the plane was so new in the war I shouldnt weather it to much. but after watching raiders of the lost ark it bit me to finish it. now i can work on my 58 chevy and gloster meteor f.1 on the raf gb.

Nick, that Pfeil looks incredible! The rlm 83/84 combo is perfect. I loved building mine a few years ago. I really really had to weight that nose down! Didn't put enough in and had to shove a few heavy gauge brass wires in the nose before putting the nose nacelle and prop on! You mentioned using tamiya washes for weathering. Did you encounter any issues since your paint layer was enamel? I've been curious for years how to execute pin washes if one uses model master or humbrol enamels

Thank you smeosky I use a clear gloss coat 1st then tamiya Acrylic so the clean up of the wash is Easier if not it will be hard to. cllean up on a flat paint surface  I hope that makes sense I don’t have my reading glasses

I’m calling this one finished. It was a pleasant build and the only fit issue revolved around the engine covers and their attachment points to the wing. Other than that, I really enjoyed this project. Thank you for looking!

Made prety good progress on the 190. I was expecting an issue with the wing fit after being by smeosky gave me a heads up on his build. The left wing had a small gap and did need some filling. The right wing was another matter. I am not sure if i had not sanded down the resin wheel wells enough, but the leading edge did not come together for the last inch to the fuselage. But if it had, it would have left a big step. So i filled the leading edge and the gap between wing and fuselage.

And then onto the paint job. As with the 72nd kit, i did RLM 76 underneath and 83/75 on top. I used the smaller kit as my main paint guide to try and get as close a match as possable.

One other issue with the join between tail and fusleage. This needed several attempts at filling and sanding utill i was happy enough.

Decals up next, more soon.

Very nice smooth paintwork on that 190 ;-)

I completed the fuse filling and sanding, now need to do the wingroot and tail fairings.

For a 1/32 this is really small :-)

The more I look at this model the more I think I should make tooling so I can do EDF of 15 Lbs Turbine RC models of this 162....

Bish - Nice paint on that 190.  The mottling at the tail is top notch!

Theuns - I’m with you, filling and sanding is my least favorite job.  I usually find most of my build delays are a result of avoiding this step!

Hey, I’d like to enter one more kit into this Group Build.  It’s the Messerschmitt 1101 model in 1/72 scale by Dragon.  I‘ll be starting it this week and will post WIP pics soon.

AA, thats a nice little kit. I built that a few years ago and added wing glove to give the look of a proper swing wing. Look forward to seeing yours.

Thanks, Bish, I'm looking forward to building it, especially since it never entered service, so I can get creative with hypothetical markings. BTW, I'll also be starting shortly on the third build for my Battle of Britain diorama for the RAF GB, the Airfix 1:48 Hurricane Mk. I. So you'll be seeing some WIP photos of that in the coming weeks...

Mopar - That 262 came out really nice! I've got you added to the main page. Thanks for the great addition to the GB!

Bish - Awesome work on that camo! That's a very unique schemeYes

Theuns - Nice work tackling those seams.

Armor - Would be great to have you join! Joe is taking care of the roster so he'll have to add you when he gets a chance.
