Right, so they are individual dials that fit into those holes. Now thats detail. At least you can paint them all seperatly.

Yes, from what I'm looking at, each coressponding dial has it's own color chart although most are X-18 Black.  There are a few red, green, and I think blue in there.

I'll take a photo of that particular step and post it here in a minute or so.  Thanks for asking,  now you've got me on my toes.  LOL!

Here's a question for you all, unrelated to the Group Build, but related to the RAF and military aircraft in general: How many of you all are going to the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford this year? This will be my first time, and I am super excited! They'll have some vintage warbirds there, including a Lancaster, a P-40, and a P-51, plus they're going to have (at last count) at least FOUR aerial demonstration teams: the USAF Thunderbirds, the RAF Red Arrows, the Finnish Air Force Midnight Hawks, and the Swiss Air Force Patrouille Suisse. Good times!

Nice work there on the seat Toshi. And wow, individual dials for the instrument panel!?! I thought the Tamiya 1/32nd Zero was insanely detailed, the Mosquito is on a whole new higher level there!

I skipped section #7 of which shows more detail assembly procedures for the IP but I can review that in my upcoming steps.  Thank you for your interest in my Mosquito build.

Arigato Gamera!  You humble me with your kind words.  The individual dials from what I see in step #7 of which is not shown here but will be available during my next step as I build, will show more detail of the IP individual dials.

The Tamiya 1/32 Zero was and still is an insanely detailed kit as I agree with you as we both built it.  The Tamiya 1/32 Mosquito was designed many years later hence as you say; "Is on a whole new higher level"!  The design concept is just amazing, and the amount of assembly of small parts are amazing.  Gamera, thank's for stopping by!

I've noticed, not everyone visits the GB and or the Aircraft thread's vice a versa.  So in the interest of all forum members, it's my pleasure to double post my build and it's a very fun way to share my Tamiya 1/32 Mosquito!

Thank you for inviting me to your GB.  If not for you, I would have never known to join the RAF 100th Anniversary GB!  A very prestigious building experience.  Thank you so much Bish for expanding my horizons!

Coming mainly for that, but I'm also going to stay in Bath for a few days, see Stonehenge, and the Tank Museum at Bovington!

Toshi, if you'd have time to post that step #7 I'd appreciate it because step 8 leaves me with more questions than answers about that intrument panel, and I'm really curious.

BTW, I did update mself on your WIP thread the other day, that's a lot of sprues, young man! I don't have a feel for the overall size yet so I'll have to go back over and dig some more.

The cockpit is a whole kit in itself, Toshi!  Nice work with it.

Are you guys talking about the British series with Martin Clunes.

That's the one.  Seems he was in the RAF before he went to medical college. (Sorry about the Spitfires in the back ground.)

Here are the parts for the back part of the Hampden fuselage:  stabilizers horizontal and vertical.

The vertical fins come in two pieces each.  I've got them glued together, and need to sand the seams now.

The elevator is a separate piece, and is supposed to be movable!

Good taste. Love that show. On my second time around, just as good as the first.

Thanks, Greg!  Seeing for the first time, on a recommendation from a friend.  Great supporting cast, too.

Thanks for posting that, Toshi. Makes sense now, step 8 shows attaching the subassemblies made in #7.

CMK, I agree about the supporting cast. What a bunch of nutty, quirky characters.

Don't forget to insert that movable elevator before you glue the horizontal stabilizer halves together! Stick out tongue

Most people who are not in a GB tend not to visit, they can be tricky to follow if your not looking in regulally. Thats why i like to do what your doing, a seperate WiP thread. Not only does it share it with more people, but theres more chance for useful feedback.

But posting in that thread what you have posted here in regards to answering questions is a really great idea. I am sure there were others who were thinking the same as Greg and myself.

I'll have to try and remember that in future. And its a pleasure to have you. And bringing the Mossy with you is a nice bonus.

So you should be, theres far to much of that thing going on around here Big Smile

I know the BBC sells a lot of its stuff over seas, but i still find it strange when i find you guys watching shows made here, especially stuff like Doc Martin.

I never saw that other series with him in the RAF, i was in Bosnia at the time. Might have to try and catch that. All shot in Norfolk including 2 former RAF bases.

Bish, a common cable and satellite channel over here is BBCA (BBC America). Obviously, they have lots of BBC programming.

I discovered Doc Martin on Netflix, though. They even had the movie prequil a few years back. It had a similar but slightly different storylline. I'd like to watch it again but they took it off. Crying

Good advice!  Of course, it'll only be movable if no glue oozes out when the pieces go together.Broken Heart

Bish:  more and further apologies about the Spitfires. Crying

I've come to like British TV better than most of the stuff coming out of Hollywood these day.  Some pretty good detective shows, like Inspectors Gently and Frost.  Particularly I like the creative murderers in Midsomer.  I think my favorite weapon was the large wheel of cheese.

Greg:  I watch the Doc on Netflix, too, but was disappointed that they're only running six seasons/series.  I was watching today and sanding seams, and it just ran out.  I understand that there are seven out there, and number eight will be the last.

Bish,

I have been lurking in this GB, and between all the fine building action going on, and now talk of some great Britsh TV, I am working up the nerve to tackle my Roden 1:32 RAF  SE5a.  I built their Albatross and almost had to get therapy after the experience I had with fitting of the engine and the extremly weak wing supports. But I think I am ready to pull the plug and start on this critter.

Man,

I too love the British shows.  Not happy with Netflix taking off most of Doc Martin, Keeping up Appearences, and all the old seasons of Top Gear.  I am surprised they still have Foyles War.

Ha !  We've watched a few seasons of the Doc as well.  Waiting for the last few to show up here on American TV.  Was a big fan of Poirot and others back in the day as well.

A little painting progress on the Hurri.  Sky-S underside, the beginning of a Sky-S fuselage band, and Dark Earth topside.

Unfortunately my basement floor Gremlin has run away with one of the covers for the wing's leading edge.

scottrc:  Haven't seen Foyle's War.  Is it good?  On the plus side, Netflix added Fawlty Towers; always good for a laugh.

Bossman:  Great looking Hurricane.  Paint work is outstanding!

Toshi:  That's a fantastic level of detail; you can virtually read the instruments.  Nice work!
