Hey Check can I still get in. I'm finally starting to settle in from the big move. I'd like to enter a Revellogram Bf110G-2 in 48th. Thanks TJ

Exquisite Liberator, Nick, in construction and finish.

Do you have a preference for the front-page photo?  I'd assume the last one, that shows the nose art.

Thanks for being part of the GB.  Be glad to see you in '44!

Thank you CM for letting take part in this GB. I tried to take the best photos I could. This model is just too big. I cant remember when I bought this kit but I started it in 1/28/18 and finished it 4/22/19, 1yr,4 months,22days my new record for longest build.

Academy 1/72 B-24D. Painted with tamiya acrylics, weathered with master touch oil paint and chalk.

The decals are from kits world representing The witch 343BS 98BG Libyan Desert 1943.

On return from the Ploesti raid, it was jumped by 6 Bf-109's she crashed landed in Dubrovnik Croatia where 8 crew were POW the other 4 escaped.

next 1944 GB.......

CM and Ben many thanks it’s pretty much done. I need to make a larger background for final pics , the plane is larger then I’m used to. I have the small parts placement..

I really like the fade on the B24. The colors and glass nose all look top notch to me.

Great job!

Ben

its similar it takes a while to dry, but I did use tamiya thin cement on a small corner of the quarter window to the fuselage we’ll see in a.m.

Good to hear that nothing was completely and irretrievably ruined.  It's been so long since I build a Liberator, I don't remember how I dealt with the canopy.  Might have used plain old white glue--but isn't that essentially what Testors clear part glue is?

Good luck with it!

thank you CM. Yes it very fiddy I brought back memories. I tried to glue them on saturday with testors cement for clear parts and dodged a major bullet. The got in between the quater window and the top of the canopy walked away from it puffed on a cigar 20 min tried again a the glue came off like liquid mask !!!! YES !! thats the pic I took after clean up. I will try again with tamiya thin cement on quarter window to fuselage 1st.

Nice glass work, Nick.  I remember that three-piece canopy being pretty fiddly to install.

Scottrc many thanks I used black and brown chalk for the pannels.

CM again I used black and brown chalk for exhaust stains tried not to over board.

my lastest pics sprayed the model with tamiya clear flat and gave it a bleached effect. I added the engines, props, super chargers, landing gear and opened front bomb bay

CM thank you the sheet is from kits-world war birds it also came with grumpy. I do have the micro scale sheet #72-24 famous B-24 bombers( the witch) form the 90's looks very strange cheep.

Great idea to achieve the effect with the painting technique you used.  It is very pleasing to the eye.

Thanks for the information about the decal.  Kits-world is good; I used one of their "Zodiac" squadron sheets for the last B-24 I built.  They are far and away superior to the older offerings, including much of micro/super-scale.

Anyway:  good job!

Thank you CM and Dwayne .

I sprayed tamiya desert yellow let it dry for day then sprayed a Very thinned tamiya flat flesh coat. The gloss clear deepened the “desert pink “ let’s see after the washes what clear flat does . Still working on the masking of the nose ,rear turret and canopy.
