Not sure i am going to be quite done by the end of the month, but if its ok i will keep posting until its done, hopefully the end of next week. Had another delay which was a bit unusual. I applied all the decals and took it down for a gloss clear coat before weathering. But as i was spraying i noticed one of the decals for the fuselage code was missing, some how it had slide off the model. Could not find it any where. So now i have had to order some grey fuselage codes which i hope will match the other side. In the mean time i have been getting on with the base, so am hoping not to much of a delay.

No worries mate, keep on going :-)

Strange that the decal went AWOL, it is just one of the many "joys" of modling LOL

Well, I unfortunately will not be getting any more done to the He-111 between now and the deadline.  Travelling in the morning to go to the EuroModelExpo show in Lingen, Germany, so I'll have to finish up later.  Here's where she stands so far

I shot some future this morning so hopefully later I will see if the decals hold together.  Thought I had more than 2 days left but I might be able to make it minus the base.

Taking a break after decaling.

The owl face was tough to get down on the radom but the use of Solvaset did it.

How did you go about making the stand. I like the end product. May want to borrow that idea.

The base is interesting.

I havnt built my base yet but have used this as a guide in the past and plan on doing it for the Corsair II.

Finally got this one wrapped up. Not to much in the way of progress pics as i was just trying to finish it off. But after decals i did some weathering with flory washes and added all the final bits.

After my lesson on the Me 410 where the underside weathering on a black surface vanished under the clear coat, i did this one heavy with the idea that the clear coat would tone it down. And it did work. This was taken before the final coat and of course i forgot to take one after.

And then it was onto the base. The compase swing is a resin one from Kora. Needs a bit of work but a nice addition. Figures i simply the best of what i have left.

A bit late, but got there in the end. Cheers for running the GB Theuns.

I also like the white on te cowls and rudder of the 111, makes for an interesting comtrast.

That B 24 came out nice, I like the shading and weathering, Im sure in 72nd it must have a huge wingspan :)

I already have 1 72nd built as well as 5 more in the stash and still have one more to get. I have to try and place them on the base side on to minimize the about of shelf space they take up.

Thanks for the compliments on the white trim. The kit had two different painting options and I wasn’t sure at first about going with the white (because painting white can be very problematic), but I’m really glad I did. It does make for a rather unique scheme!
