Bish,

Would you add me in with a 1/48 Eduard Mig-21MF.

Here is the box art:

I just bought some AM decals which will give me an option of a Zambian or Nigerian Mig. I'll decide which once I get the decals, but, right now, I'm leaning towards the Nigerian. I believe both these nations were at one time a part of the Commonwealth and meets the criteria of the GB. I regret not entering the RAF GB, so I hope this GB is just as successful!

Thanks!

 Bruce

Being of British nationality I don't think the Queen would allow me to miss this. 1/72 Revell Germany Eurofighter Typhoon twin seat.

Bish I would like to join in with a 1/48 Tamaya Swordfish Mk.1 from the Arch Royal 1941.

I need to have it shipped from Boise first.

I hope a FAA Stringbag will fit this GB.

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Bish

Rob, wil be nice to see anotehr of those Airfix Harriers. Which scale and variant is yours.

I will have to look. Other than a ginormous Airfix Harrier I built in the 80s and the 1/72 scale Matchbox Harrier I built in the 70s, I know nothing about the plane other than they came with optional USMC markings. The one I plan on building is a smaller one so I guess it is 1/72 and the kit comes with some tube cement, plastic paint tubs and cheap paint brush. I got it at a thrift shop for around $5.

The kit has to use RAF type markings, correct?

That sounds like one of the model sets, which means its a GR.3 if its the old tooled or GR.1 if its a new tooled.

Ye, it would have to be in RAF markings, we are the only ones that operated the GR.1 and 3.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Haven’t even started it yet, just pulled it off the shelf. Still trying to get my BoB diorama done by April 1st, but after I wrap that up, I intend to get started on the Hawk.

Hey Bish,

I don’t know, is it okay to enter the same kit in two different group builds at once?  I just entered into the Shelf of Doom 2018 build with my 1:72 scale BAe Hawk 200, but then I also notice that it fits the criteria for this goup build as well.  If so, I’d like to enter it.  If not, that’s cool, I can look through my stash and find something else that fits...

AA, yep, cross overs are fine. How far along is the kit.

Guys, got the roster updated, great to see you all on board.

Bish, I have an old kit in the ole stash of an old subject, Matchbox Siskin IIIA in 1/72 scale:

The RCAF flew this type from 1926 until 1939 when they were replaced with the Hawker Hurricane.  Of special note, in 1929 an aerobatic team of three aircraft was formed.

regards,

Jack

Thats one i have not heard of before, i know you will do a cracking job on that.

1:48 Monogram.  With leftover Belcher Bits decals from my CH-113 build.

Thanks will add it to the roster. And as in keeping with Candian practice, i'll designate it as a CAH-64.

yes, Yes, YES ! Another great topic for a GB Bish.

There are a lot of subjects I want to do, but for now mark me down for an Airfix Red Arrows BAe Hawk in 1/72 please. There is some possibility that tis will be followed or replaced with a 1/32 version of the same aircraft.

Cheers

Tony

I'm just taking it one GB at a time.

Count me in, then.  I'll be doing it up in the 2-tone camoflauge typical of current Canadian helicopters.

I like the sound of that. Which kit and scale?

Hey Bish put me down for:

1/48th Tamiya F4U-1D Corsair with Rising Decals set for New Zealand NZ5416 'Tutae Wera'

* New Zealand F4U though not the exact aircraft I'm modeling.

G, really looking forward to that, those tamiya Corsair are nice in any scale. And i do like those NZ markings.

Can I do a WIF Canadian Apache?

Well, seeing as i am accepting an X-Wing, i can hardly say no Big Smile.

Which kit and scale. Do you plan on sticking to the US colour or are you going to make up your own scheme.

HI Bish,

I'm in, here's my first choice: Singapore Air Force X-Wing

If I can't find the decals, I will go for one of my RAAF stash:

S******e

Vengeance

Beaufort

Winjeel

Wessex

But it will be some time as I have to finish 3 or 4 other GBs first, so I will come in at the last moment as per normal.

I wasn't expecting an X-Wing, but for the shear novelty factor, its in. I like it.

Whats the kit.

Hey Bish I’m in with an academy hawker hunter in 1/48th . I was surfing the web and found the Kuwait gained its independence from Britain in 1961 if that’s right that’s what I’m building if not I’ll keep looking

It did, but like the other nations in that region it has never been a member of the Commonwealth, so i am afraid kuwait would not count. Kuwait was a protectorate and never a British colony.
