John, ya this year has been a mess for all of us and the GB kinda fell with a thud this year. The participation has been lackluster at best. But, given what 2020 has been like I'm not judging anyone. It's about the giving that matters most. We'll get there in the end.

Brandon,

The year is not over yet!  I’ve been busy messing around with spaghetti, a dirty piggy, tiny spaceships, and some armor, but I promise to get a move on the GB.

It’s hobby day today, so I will pull the Dodge out from the garage.  Judas Priest’s “Turbo Lover” is playing at the moment.  A coincidence?  I don’t think so...  Wink

OK, the new post is up in the GB thread.

I don't think this is exclusive to this GB though.  There are a number of other active GB's that go several days between replies and updates.

I just think 2020 can't end soon enough.

I agree all around. 2020 is just a bust and it's affected all the GB's. That's why I'm not worried about folks getting things done. It is what it is this year. Yikes, what year.

I'm glad to see some of you are not dead and still slinging glue. If you get it done, great, If not, no biggie. We all get a muligan after this year.

I'll agree - What a year.

I've kept working on the Panzer IV, and I'm really developing an appreciation for Dragon kits. Well detailed without the parts count overload of something like AFV Club. Anywho, here's where I'm at.

Looks good Mach. I love the Pz IV

I agree, the Panzer is looking quite nice. I'll have to be adding one to the stash. Looking forward to seeing more.

Sorry it has been so long here, I picked the worst year to move overseas. I have been too busy with work, remodeling, and various other things required to set up shop (including building a shop) to get much done. I am getting settled in now though so hopefuly things start to get easier. Well, enough about my problems, here is what you came here to see.

After stripping the paint I had this:

I had run out of my FS36375 so I decided to give MRP a try:

They went on quite smoothly, and this is the best Have Glass that I have seen.

The next step is to find some decals to replace the ones that were ruined, and to paint the control surfaces and other small bits.

Looks good SD. I built that kit a couple years back and thought it was better than the Hase kit. What marking are you going for?

I am going to try the American this time. It won't be perfect because many of the decals are difficult to replace. But it will be finished and I had a lot of fun building it.

I think the F-35 is a fun build. Especially the Academy kit. You can do pretty much what you want with it. Loadout or not. Beast mode or air superiority stealth.

SD, that is looking good. Glad you were able to get life and the kit sorted out. This has been quite a year, and it ain't over yet. I am looking forward to putting this one on the 'complete' list.

Sorry for taking so long between updates. Right after my last post I pinched a nerve in my back. I've recovered to the point where I can sit at the bench for more than short periods, so I'll be able to give the Pz.IV the attention it deserves to finish up hopefully by New Year's.

Track runs have been assembled, now it's on with the painting.

Looking good, Sir. I love how these look. I can't wait to see it complete. I too have a back issue and I can understand the pain, especially while sitting. Take care of it and it won't give you fits.

Awesome SD. There's something about the F-35 I like.

Tracks are painted and on. Took some experiments mixing colors, but I wound up with a 6:4:3 mix of steel, black, and rust for the base color. I then mixed steel and silver and used that to highlight the treads.

Looks great M1, I can't get tracks to look good at all and I like that sag.

That is looking very impressive. I had to take a good hard look at it and I love the camo work. This is a cool piece.
